They weren’t trying to sell street life, it was a dance movie. They were never in the streets, they just did a bad job, which was apart of the drama beside dude dating his friend sister and their group member turning on them for their rival. And they lost a young friend. It actually had lots of drama but that wasn’t the focus. They made a decent dance film to extend their music career.

Here's the biggest critique going into You Got Served's Script as a Storyline: We never got a confirmation of what's really in the bag that Elgin and David were delivering for Emerald. By the writers' standpoint, its said to be a product or a merchandise, but i do believe they were selling Chocolate Chip Cookies because that's the only logical assumption you'll have when two dancers are running errands in dangerous neighborhoods without baring firearms. 😑

I can't count how often I watched this movie as an teenager. But I never watched the movie in the original language before. I'm from germany and we got very good voice actors for movies from other countries. And in german got this movie so much more emphasis and that creates a lot more tension and drama. Now I understand why the acting performance is so criticized. 😂 But I still love the movie. Fantastic memories. Fantastic old times.

7:44 The massive irony in what Boog said about Omarion always leaving them hanging over some girl. * At one point Jboog, Raz, fizz and Omarion were in agreement to find new management to negotiate their contracts, but Omarion changed his mind after he found out fizz was smashing a woman he had liked when they were on tour. O snitched on these dudes and told Chris their plans, then they broke up not too long after.

he got over it in the end. so they didn’t actually end the friendship. Stuff like that just takes time. Elgin was right to be pissed and distance himself for a bit.
