Eli Hanneman - Scored A Huge Contract / Red Bull At 13 Years Old! 

I met Eli at the US open when he was like 14. He was so bummed that he lost that you could see surfing means everything to him. I hope his passion for surfing is fulfilled throughout his career.

I met Eli Hanneman a year ago super awesome guy and an amazing surfer so cool that he is now on JB podcast keep up the good work

Not to take away from Eli because he is rad and can't wait to see him on tour but some day, may not be next Friday, may not be 20 Fridays from now but some Friday I am going to go to RU-vid and see that Johnny Boy Gomes is on the JOB podcast. I can feel it. If you build it he will come.

This was awesome. So sick to watch two of my favorite surfers exchanging stories, rooting each other on, and diving deep into some heavy wipeout stories. Eli is a special soul. Divine talent. Very inspiring to watch. This episode was a special one. I've watched it twice already!!

Agree, Kelly still has it! If he responds to your text, tell him that all is fans who watch him say it’s time to stop doing FireWire R&D in contests, to get the f back on a legit PU board, and start smashing. We’re sick of seeing his overly topical boards slip around and look shit under his feet. Yeah, we get it, if anyone can, Kelly can make a FireWire (which is nothing but a ding resistant fun board) look like it has a place in competitive surfing…but we’re sick of seeing him waste opportunities promoting FireWire and not winning more titles. Just look, Tom Curren’s 1st wave at Bells, despite WSL judging, was THE BEST WAVE SURFED the entire event. He’s 58 and still epitomizes what surfing is supposed to be. He wasn’t on some R&D trip, was he?! Nope! He was as on his go to Black Beauty. And no, Occy’s one turn didn’t hold a torch to Curren’s ride, funky channels and all. Bet you the Black Beauty out sold Occy’s clunker in the charity event too. Someone look that up. Please Kelly, for the love of God, pull out some old PU’s and win again!
