But, honestly, I do not get why so many guys hate gay people. I love that you are openly gay. I couldn't have more respect for you. It really pisses me off when I read some of the hateful comments left on this video. Since when does sexuality has anything to with talent? Eli Lieb is clearly very talented, whether he is gay or not it's his talent that should be recognized not his preference in partners. His personal life isn't up here, it his voice. So before anyone leaves another hateful comment I ask you to just keep your opinion to yourself. If you don't have anything to say about the song at hand or his vocals & talent then don't say anything at all. His personal life is none of our concerns especially to be hated on.

Block it out, keep your head up and just keep moving forward. You can either use the timing of her unfortunate and ignorant comments to burst outta that closet and enlighten her now, or do so at a later date more suitable to your choosing. Either way, hopefully, eventually, in you, she will see the error of her thinking (or not). Whatever the case, know that sometimes even family members have to be blocked-out physically or mentally for our own wellness and acceptance. I like this song and I'm glad that the video is not the stereotypical "man-meets-woman-story". We need this more often. I'm a straight woman and I think there's still too much people who doesn't see the way it is. Homosexuality is what you were meant to be, it's how you were born - and it's definitely not a choice. Your voice is beautiful, honestly. The lyrics and the music went under my skin and that is something which is important for a singer. Greetings from Germany :)

hi guys! i just want to share a vulnerable part of my life. when i discovered this song, in october 2013, i was 14 years old. i was in the closet. and i remember being in my room with my headphones with full volume listening to this song. i came out of the closet, lived happy experiences and forgot at all about this song. now, i am 22 and the algorithym showed me this song in the middle of a duel that am healing due to a heartreaking relationship. i just can not believe that now am feeling exactly how Eli Lieb was feeling, now this song hits different because in the past was a fantasy singing this song, and now and then will be a reality... "when i was 22..."

Tom Nguyen Absolutely! That's also how I feel about the documentary Bridegroom. They had such a great life, full of happiness, but it all vanished when one of them died... It does happen and nobody really cares that much anymore. I found it easier coming out because there were 2 of us. I was a closeted kid, figuring my sexuality out when I came across this video back in 2014. Watching this music video and jamming along to this incredible song gave me a sense of comfort that maybe when I turn 22, I would also have someone special. I'm 25 now and it still hasn't happened, but this song takes me back to that closeted 15 year old self that had hope after seeing how free the actors in the MV are. Also, I've heard this song so many times that even if I come back to it after months, I can sing along word for word!

I am a 17 years old teenage girl, I am straight, so? Regarding to some comments about others discriminate same sex couple always bother me. There are already A LOTs of problems for our people to take care everyday, air pollution, civil war, our daily living. Why should we should make falling into someone so difficult also ? Why girls can fall into zombie, vampire , Romeo can fall with Juliet but man/woman can't fall into their same-gender-lover. I know all the vampire and zombie stuff are fiction, but that's the point. This is what called true love and it's the most wonderful in the world that we should respect.
