It always amazed me that's so many celebrities wear such crap on the red carpets when they could have picked any one of these dresses and then look beautiful
I love the fact that there weren't any Kendall, gigi etc.when ur work is stellar u should let the dresses speak for themselves! Absolutely gorgeous collection!😍
I was disappointed in the videography. Often panning up the garment too quickly, and then spending a lot of time on the model's face. I'm not watching this to see faces, I want to see the fashions But they did a pretty good job of showing the back of the garments, which I appreciate. The back is just as important as the front.
I think the focus on the face is to showcase the makeup and hair look, and the focus on the feet is for the choice of footwear, so that anyone watching can have a closer look of the entire design.
no need to be dissatisfied you can pause the video at least to look at the garments right? I think the videographers purpose is to show the whole collection from the minute details (i.e from the accessories they’re wearing to the footwear). That’s why I agree with @Matadore.
That's what I was thinking, too. Lauren Bacall would have been stunning in some of those dresses. Of course, she would be smiling. Is it really that bad for models to have a pleasant look on their faces instead of glaring?
7:52 That's what speaking with the eyes looks like, powerful, memorable. The runway could have been a tad bit wider, though. Bravo to the last model, what a feat that must have been.🙌
I found out about Eli Saab as a designer years back and was mesmerised. Each year the- Haute couture collection is literally a fairy. Beautiful minds, beautiful creations... xxx
So, for that last wedding gown, nobody thought to coordinate the width of the walkway with the size of that gown?!! Homegirl looked like she was pulling a horse carriage! smh
The models needed a more open runway for these dresses and long tunic to walk down. You could not get a good view of everything. Like everything that walked down. Thanks for sharing
If I were a movie star now I would wear nothing but Elie Saab to all red carpet events. His designs, choice of colors and fabrics is unequaled in the fashion world. I am blown away. The wedding dresses are phenomenal.
Everything was so beautiful! Especially the Wedding dress was just gorgeous! I know it’s heavy with all the amazing fabric but I would love to try on just to feel like a bride again, I’ve been married for 25 years and I would marry my husband all over again, I loved my wedding dress, but hey, I wouldn’t mind a new one to renew our vows! A girl can dream 😉💖
lavendersky11 totally agree with you: the cell phones are rude plus a raised runway would have been better or at least more space in the aisles. What I see is most of the models look downright angry or miserable - for me it is a lackluster presentation.
because most of them are fashion bloggers or journalists, influencers, they need to keep their networks updated, partly it is their job too, all this industry needs its publicity.
This collection was really eye-catching. The last gown in particular looked like it could be on a romantic, futuristic movie set for a princess or queen. Quite astounding. Ellie Saab seems to capture femininity in the fashions, without making a mockery of it. While there is some skin showing in some of the pieces, it is not obscene, as is the case these days with so many other designers. Keeping it classy, keeping it interesting, and fluid innovation. This show has it all.
The collection is beautiful. It combined feminine features with very powerful statements. I just wish the camera actions was better. It zoomed in and stayed too long on the model's face. It should be more about the clothes, and all the details and hard work that went into those pieces. The models are pretty but super rbf... ruins the mode for me.
I have seen many catwalks but I did not know this brand and I loved it because you do not have such exaggerated or strange pieces it is sober, elegant and beautiful (all the pieces) "They should be on and a red carpet"
So many negative comments when they not even qualified as designer nor a model, just some normal people talking bad things about the models and clothes 😂😂😂😂😂 please, it is not an easy job
Yeah and I think the models are trained to be emotionless so that people can focus more on the dresses and then people here who just watch keeps on complaining about the faces.
I absolutely love all these dresses omg!!! The patterns, the ombre dresses are my favorite and the detailing on each dress so glamorous 💋Awesome collection
At first I thought wow those isles are cramped but then I got distracted by the white boots the lady was wearing in the first isle to the right because those are cute. Then I started looking more into the crowd because people were wearing cute stuff all over
same here too dıstractıng esp as they turn nto next ısle a lady wearıng a patterned maxı dress ıs always ın the vıew.therefore ı dont thınk very well layout of seats too dıstractın maybe other people wont even realıse they dıstracted from the maın evnt.
Casi un Angel it’s only in the last 2 yers when we started to notice that Zuhair designs are similar to Ellie’s designs but usually they’ve got their own line. Maybe the similarity is that both of the designers are Lebanese and they’ve got the same Lebanese touch.
JS 17 I totally agree . There is a fine line when the designer should stop of taking the designs into being tarty and over and this is what Elle Saab good at. He is extremely talented and keeps his garments fashionable, stylish so sophisticated with complicated cuts but at the same time they look simple and CHIC.
Beautiful and Wearable Couture :3 Idk why people would ought for unwearable impractical ones. They try to get recognized as a couture designer then. Are clothes meant to be unwearable? Idk what they expect honestly...
Most couture dresses are unwearable in normal conditions. I don't really know what you expect from haute couture, it's highend wear, most people can't just walk around in a couture peice.
I previously watched another collection which I thought was absolutely beautiful! Yet again, there is a lot of glitter and elegant glamour! Love this collection too!
It's not about the models. Models smiling might make people look at their faces and get distracted from the line put out. That's why most of the times the makeup, hair and expression of the models is better kept bland.
It's so nice to be able to enjoy seeing beautiful clothes along with music that's upbeat! The models are professional-looking, too, so that was nice, but some of them seemed quite sad. To them I would say, Try to find gratitude that you get to wear such beautiful clothing and think positive thoughts as you're walking down the aisle. A positive attitude makes the show much more enjoyable! I wish we had a better look at some of the outfits. Sadly, sometimes the camera only gave us a split second to see it, and that's a disappointment. We should be able to get a good long look at each one!
I am sure they are grateful, but their job is to essentially be a "neutral coathanger" and allow all the focus to be on the outfits themselves. Their "sad face" is just how their face looks when in a neutral position.
Have you thought that maybe those are their neutral faces? A lot of people suffer from resting bitch face, it does not mean they are not happy, nor grateful to be wearing those gorgeous dresses. Stop judging without knowing the full picture, it's not nice. Also, it's called catwalk, not aisle.
Who ever designed these has talent! Wow! Most of these dresses I would totally buy! Different and stunning!! They definitely make a statement yet it's not overly done to the point where the dress is better then the woman wearing it. Seriously, amazing designs!
Elie Saab's couture is always beautiful, elegant, sexy and empowering. It's crazy how narrow the "runway" was. The peoples' feet were right-up to the bridal gown.
