The designer of Elie Saab is truly an artist from heaven. Such beautiful designs. And the models are pretty too. I liked the simple and elegant look on their faces.
Loved this collection. Some pieces more than others. I wish there was more diversity in the models. Some of the colors and patterns would have shown much better on deeper, richer skin tones.
Very romantic collection. I think tho, the long draping needs to start from the elbow, not the hand area. I don’t like the feeling of my hands encumbered all evening.
I don't know if it's just me, but the models didn't do justice to the exquisite collection of Elie Saab - faded faces, stiff posture and worse of all the way they walk with no confidence, no arms balance, as if they were kept in the freezer and didn't have enough time to thaw... Where is the era of Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell?...
I used to love Elie Saab back in the early 2000s but this collection is an iteration of old concepts, designs and isn't fresh. At different points I wondered if I was watching a Zuhair Murad show. Elie has become the current day Escada.
In the 2000s, I was a big fan of Elie Saab, but I think the brand has experienced a significant creative block. While the craftsmanship remains unparalleled, the shows have become monotonous, displaying a lack of innovation and passion. The models seem disinterested, the scenography is overly simplistic and disconnected from the collection, silhouettes are recycled, and the color palettes are dull. It's disappointing to see such a renowned label stagnate, especially when it once set the standards for haute couture creativity and vibrancy.
