Elijah Craig Bourbon Almost 2 Decades Old 

I bought an EC18 just because the store had it here for SRP in front of me. Complete impulse, knew nothing about it. And i love it. Oak bomb, for sure. And it’s stellar.

I got one for $175 and don't regret it at all. Oak, tobacco, and cherry for days. Love it and hope to find another one at that price.

Each year a barrel ages, it gets taxed by the government. So older whiskey gets taxed more and that is one reason you don't see old whiskey.

My measuring stick for this would be Michter’s 10. They are about the same price. Is this on par with that? I saw this for $189. I passed because the reviews are lukewarm. M10 is lower proof, but delicious. The new HH 18 120proof would be an interesting comparison, but it’s a $300+ unicorn. Thanks for the review guys!

Last time I saw an Elijah Craig 18 for msrp the same store had a C923 for msrp, it was a very easy decision.

I need to try this again, I had it early when I started getting into whiskey, and was pretty whelmed by it, nothing crazy, nothing terrible, just good low proof whiskey. There’s a store near me that has one for $175+tax, but I’d rather just buy stagg off secondary for $200 at that point 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have been chasing this bottle go over 2 years but couldn’t find it under $300 and refused to go that high. Tried it for just under 30 this week at a bar and got very little sweetness but a lot of charcoal flavor. I am now a pass. I need to try KC18 because I love KC12. Enjoy your channel!

Considering the Heaven Hill 17yr Barrel Proof was around 118pf, I assume they're watering the EC18 down by a bit. Still, I thought the flavors from my bottle were quite nice. Cherry and oak with a small scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I agree with you guys, though, about disliking the face that I had to dig around for notes and flavors, but I think that around the $160 I found it for (at an allocation drop), it's a solid bottle. I think $180 would be my limit on it, but throw in tax and that's around $200. I'd be satisfied with my purchase.

Got one for 2yrs ago for 150 and really like it. Still have a bit left but not sure i like it enough to drop another 150 (store by me ordered and got a ton in)

It's a bottle I'm glad I have in my collection but not something i would stock up on. I got mine for $180 at TW.

Age is a factor if you like 🪵 wood. I don't, I tend to like hi proofs and sweetness. EC923 is better then this 18. Russell's BP is great. Try a shot with A&W root beer 🍺 yummy 😋
