Honestly i feel like people forgot how good of a musician Eliminate actually is with all his self deprecating humor. I've been following him long before he made the RU-vid channel and liked most of his EPs on Disciple. So glad he made this EP even though i don't like some of the songs.
Yes I truly believe the “meme” side of him depreciated how good his music actually is (not a personal victim but I can see it). He is an insane producer, needs more love.
I mean yes his humor really set a lower standard for his music but i also think him making videos and being funny is the reason why he's blowing up now more than ever
@@overlordjord1306 I absolutely cannot honestly. For some reason there is this weird misconception that because someone really enjoys shitposting they cannot be talented. Where does this come from? Nate pulled alotta tracks that were meant as Shitposts that just were BANGERS.
@@OffscreenkillVA that’s exactly what I’m saying, his music in others’ eyes may not be taken as seriously because of the shitposting. Almost like if you see the CEO of a company shitposting, the public would see them as less professional. I can see him not having as many fans due to this and I think that sucks because he is super talented
Ive been absolutely loving Eliminate finding his own sound and going away from trends and industry expectations. His sound design has always been some of my favorite, and this album feels like a love letter to that. So many fun sounds and unique vibes. Love it
the craziest studio I've ever seen was deadmau5s'. It looks like a starship commander bridge. All the synths in the background and his sound on his livestreams as a clear as his and by that I mean, a 2 billion dollar worth setup, that sounds so unbeliveable crisp and on point, that when you tune in, you feel like standing right inside his studio, even tho the rendering itself and the connection abroad to you is deficiant, further more the algorhythms that standardize the loudness to a set degree, its pointless to say, that it sounds awesome. No matter if you listen on headphones or in a studio/Hi-Fi enviroment, it's just blasting.
this has honestly been my favorite album to drop from any producer in such a long time, like I was up for this to drop at midnight on 2.2 when he uploaded it. Dawn, waste my time, playing with fire, SMSOU, just incredible music for my mood and life lately. Tbh I was blown away to hear you listening to ways my time and say the vocals sounded "soulless". I totally get what you mean, and I'm not mad at it, but for me it's so the opposite like. These songs as singles carried some hard days for me, then in one long shot as an album, has been incredibly positive for my outlook. Love to see you bopping too the album man, it's awesome to see how others hear music and what pieces stand out to them VS what stands out to others. Loved this, loved that you kept it real the whole time, ty for the upload and much love to ya for it! ❤🔥
Incredible stuff!!! Absolutely great album, it really inspires me to keep doing music, and really sets the bar so high for the rest of the year, the sound design the musicality the amount of variation, the vocal work the mixdown everything is so great, and its really interesting to see a collab between you and Nate, i dont imagine the Quality of the reeses and the liquidy sounds 🤩🤩🤩
Here’s my ranking: WORST - f_ck you - MOREPWR - happy_ending - comecloser - thinkaboutit - EGOTRIP - heart.EXE - Poison Oak (feat. I Set My Friends On Fire) - SMSOU (feat. Frost Children) - Playing With Fire - Dawn (feat. MEESH) - Waste My Time - Get Off The Internet (feat. fussy) BEST
but tbh the Poison Oak songs growl vocals kind of miss some narly bass fundamentals, just my opinion :D but just to traverse this, vocals growled in the upper mids imho need some low-endish backup, don't get me wrong, but I've listened to many Metal songs and they all got some conscious basspart beneath it, I dunno if it's a mix technique, but this song tho somehow kind of misses that punctionality.
@@code_pandorum I mean I might be getting it wrong but it seemed like you didn't actually enjoy most of the songs that much. It felt like you were mostly like "yeah this isn't for me" or "this doesn't hit as hard as it should" or "I don't like the vocals", which is totally okay to offer criticism obv but it just didn't sound to me like you were generally that convinced about the album
@@imactuallyasheep not sure if we saw the same reaction then 😂 I'm mostly having a really good time and just because i criticize certain elements doesn't mean that i don't like it or that it's bad... Just my unfiltered opinion
Wasnt the biggest fan of this album. I felt like GOTI was less of an album and more like a collection of songs without much cohesion between the tunes. Love the guy though, he def deserves the spotlight!
i love nate and code. i genuinely respect code’s opinion on some of the songs cause he’s right, it isn’t for everyone but this review is great. thanks for the upload!
