Lymphatic filariasis (LF) is a devastating disease that affects some of the world's poorest and most marginalised communities. This Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) causes abnormal swelling of the skin, leading to pain, disability and stigma for those affected.
This video tells the story of those affected and of Burkina Faso in its fight against lymphatic filariasis, highlighting the country's efforts and the initiatives of the various stakeholders to eliminate this disease. It presents the ARISE project (Accelerating, Resilient, Innovative and Sustainable Elimination of neglected tropical diseases), an initiative that has played a crucial role in Burkina Faso's progress towards eliminating lymphatic filariasis.

La filariose lymphatique (FL) est une maladie dévastatrice qui touche certaines des communautés les plus pauvres et les plus marginalisées du monde.Cette Maladie Tropicale Négligée (MTN) provoque un gonflement anormal de la peau ,entraînant des douleurs, une invalidité et une stigmatisation pour les personnes atteintes.
