You have a remarkable ability to summarize a complex game in these simple animations. Along with the painters, I feel bad for the guys schlepping modules in & out of my ship as I mess around with different configurations or weapons loadouts.

I found myself saying "I understood that reference" way too much, lol. And the one with the level 3 settlement guy is perfect! And then at 3:19 I realized I know exactly where that neutron star is.

Your don't really realize how much there is to this game, both in the details of the game itself and the culture and lore of the community, until you watch something like this and keep saying "I know that reference!" Speaking of in-references, if you ever show a Coriolis station rotating counterclockwise, we'll know that you've been kidnapped and replaced by an evil A.I. 😅

Thanks for this comment, Commander! Yes, you're absolutely right. There are hardly many games that can match the complexity and richness of Elite. I don't know any. Now, apparently, it’s too late for me to correct my mistake with station rotation; I'll have to maintain consistency:)))

@@TheHighWake My guess would be that Gutamaya sends out some highly-trained slaves to paint their ships. (Those slaves are declared as workers outside the empire, though, to avoid law infringements.)
