farther rescues net more credits per mission. i dunno 2 vs 6, but with 6 jump distances im making 150m average per trip(ally rep) from large stations under attack. also i have pre engineered heatsync and 3 ECMs. ecm for limpets and missles, and i don't use a shield, haven't gotten electrified since i removed it!(because that thing stops the fsd countdown even) Ps, going around the station from where thargoids are also avoided them 100% of the time. i started doing this when i got ambushed by 9 interceptors loll
Good point, I noticed that the shorter distances didn’t pay as well. Could have gone shieldless, smaller hit box and more passengers or hull. Also the Python is small enough to land with minimum bumps, that was prob my main concern, shields don’t last long against heavy Thargoid fire anyway, thanks.
How often are these missiosn available nowadays? I just got back into Elite after years away from the game, and thought I'd try these out. But there doesn't appear to be any available in the bubble right now, at any of the systems marked with the skull
There are only two titans left now so the ports under attack are neutralised quite quickly after the Thursday tick, so you have to be quick. You can use dcoh.watch to check
Question. I've noticed that a LOT of high paying rescue missions are locked behind business and luxury class cabins now. Is this new? Having all economy made me miss out oin 40-30mil missions
Ive not been doing rescues recently, so I have just flew down to Runco Outpost in Balak and they are all accepting economy, even the high paying personal transport folk. Which stations are affected?
my python goes 500 M/S comfortably escaping thargoid interdictors. add two ECM systems and sirius heatsinks and their missiles can't touch you to reboot your fsd. to get the python up to 500 M/S you need to strip mass, lose weight, have less armor, carry less people, but it does the job perfectly.
