Hey, it's not ganking if I never broke the speed limit. I didn't even get a fine for this! Oh by the way, this is NOT the big video for this cobra. That's coming later, this was just a side quest.
If they sat through that whole thing without ever once thinking to disengage the auto pilot or do the "I forgot my limpets" maneuver then I feel like they kinda had it coming for them. Even if they were the only actual player in the station, autodock launching players into NPC ship pile ups or getting stuck on a nearby light pole is a common enough occurrence that you should never really trust it enough to go completely AFK.
damn i remember watching your vids like a year ago and now this gets recommended to me cool to see elite is still being played and is not COMPLETELY dead
@@Nastalas That's only if you go by Steam charts, which represents less than half of the playerbase on PC. Most people play either from the Frontier store or Epic Games (since it goes free to own like every other month there). And that's not even including the surprising amount of people that still play on console.
@@CrimsonGamer99 I only once flew a ship without shields. Had a brainfart and sold the shield without equipping a new one and took 3% hull damage simply from taking off from a terrestrial port.
@@CrimsonGamer99 3% from simply taking off, without touching anything? I forgot to metion that I got another 3% later when I touched down on a space station... Enough of a reason for me to get at lest a small shield.
That is why I never fly anything without shields. My jump conda even has 1D lightweight hull RP which like gives +25% hull and cost like 0.15 ly. But man, killing a clearly explorer Conda piloted probably by a new player, just because it dont has shield, is like beating up a child because his/her shoue lances are not tied.
He's gonna have to learn somehow, wether it's by funny cobra or NPC beluga plowing into him trough the mail slot, this way we can just all laugh at him 😂
That Conda build actually looks pretty damn nice, might give that a little look-see next time I'm in the mood to punish myself with engineering mats. Fun fun fun.
A wet tissue 83 lightyear 'Conda that can't boost, can't do more than a single jump and can't land on any planet sounds about right. But it's 83 lightyears jumprange, which makes it the BEST exploration ship possible, right (/s)?
@@cmdr.shurimal8980 I though about it for a while and I've heard actually good reason. There are simply places normal ships can't reach at all; that Jumpacondas can. That's it. The singular use of such ships. Kind of obsoleted by existence of Fleet Carriers though.
@@Hekkaryk Yes, that one single valid use. Comes with a caveat that the place you're going to has a scoopable star, or it's a one-way ticket with the 8 ton fuel tank this build requires. In short, an 83 ly 'Conda is more of a meme ship than a practical build. In any case, a pretty tough 'Conda build with shields and 1300 hull HP-s can still do 74 lightyears, and a Phantom with V1 FSD can do 73.
@@Hekkarykat that point you just take a carrier, having an insane jump range ain't gonna get much more done than a well buit ship that's made to support itself
"The game is losing players? Well let's bully the rest off and be rude!" - Said every commander now for some goofy reason who keeps sabotaging the game.
@@MrCarvion Well, I remeber "slave scandal", when ED banned carrier owner from open cause "passengers" where too stupid to use autodestruct option. So - there were cases were ED was kind to ignorance, and even punished players that actually didn't brake any rules.
nah I fully agree with you, this is ridiculous. this game's community is incredibly toxic for no damn reason, I expected crimson to be different from all the anti-gank videos posted using ridiculous builds but I guess in the end they're all the same
@@luilong3083 Webgear waking out not noticing that his torps landed and he totally had me, but was too distraught to notice because I called him an "idiot" and it hurt his feelings
@@Maddock_ you guys sure he's elite? he seems to have modified thruster exhausts so he clearly has enough investment in the game to buy them... if you're right, then as much as I hate this whole "open is a free-for-all where you can be toxic all you want" mentality I will still have to agree that it was naive of him to try and pull into jameson completely unprotected
People will be like "omg you blew up a mostly harmless cmdr" and conveniently leave out you are in a station that requires an elite rank to access. Nice to see carebears are just as dumb as always.
you can literally get elite rank in like a day (maybe faster if you have strong friends), what are you talking about? the fact a mostly harmless cmdr is at jameson is proof enough of that and yall just missing it completely
