Fdev could make ship interiors like a Skyrim dungeon. That you load into while parked. It being a while parked only thing, would make it easier to implement. All the ship interactions while flying, wouldn't need consideration during the creation of the interiors.

o7, your doing the guardians work. I for one am for prebuilt ships, as I already own most of the ships it gives me (a late joiner 4yrs) a way to contribute with a decent gain to Elite:Dangerous. I'd love to see more passenger and sciency vessels! Explote the unknown, to RAXXLA!

If FDEV were to actually pay an employee to write The Complete BGS Guide themselves rather than relying on the community to fill in for them, their financials might actually exceed expectations. Might not be as good though. Bravo to cmdr Purrfect

BGS guide great. Especially blowing up your ship to fail passenger missions! Even cheaper if you have bought a prebuilt ship for the purpose as no rebuy cost!!!

I really want to see the story around people that were abducted and then saved. First iteration: they fly around as usual but then the signal "wakes" them and they go berserk against players. That can be done in space before we eventually see them on foot, screaming and jumping like hybrids from The Expanse. That would be crazy to see! We could never know which ship can suddenly attack us, they might as well be on our side and then make a switch.

Always very surprised that FDev haven't made an ED based management sim....Station Manager style game, sorting trade and distribution, managing docking ships, keeping the station defenses up to spec and using the defence system against attacking pirates/Thargoids. Extra missions could be based on system holidays or CG type bonus level, you could manage more than 1 station and it could also cover several systems. You'd also be responsible for sending and receiving goods from planetside outposts/cities which would need to go through security checks or quarantine etc.

I'm thinking the titans were a one-way trip. The Thargoids have a specific goal in mind, and they're trying to complete it before the last titan is destroyed. We'll find out what that goal is when the next phase of Thargoid content starts.

The release of the BGS details is terrible news for the Star Citizen backers: it means that CIG are now going to change (start developing) their backround system to mirror ED's. More years to wait...

PG 23 of that BGS Guide. Combat ship of a Corvette. Three fixed fragment cannons have a bad convergence of an enemy ship you need to blow up.

I wish there was option in game or in some mod, that would allow me to open new window with „cinematic” view from outside of the ship while flying around. I know that there is manual option in game but it is this OR flying your ship. I want both :D for example to use second screen for nice outside view with inteligent drone camera :)

For me the BGS was thrown out of the window when Fdev allowed player factions to pick and instantly reset any system of their choice regardless if anyone had played the BGS in that system for years. That has happened twice for me now, I worked a system just for a player group to have picked that system and change it overnight without any work on their behalf. That was the nail in the coffin for me, I never play the BGS anymore. I now tour the galaxy in my FC.

So i quit this game because all the content is locked behind updates and not discovering things . Imagine if the community rebelled and just let the thargoids win the war i bet they dont have a scenario for that with their pre programmed bs storyline lol

What are you on about lol 💀 Huge part of Elite's content IS discovering things. Also what even is that sort of expectation XD I don't know how you're imagining it, like it should have had all the storylines lined up there already at launch or sth? But at the same time you're complaining that the storyline is pre programmed? :D (which btw isn't true, the community DID affect the game's overaching story by the means of community goals etc.)

Look, I get how you feel and I think Helldivers 2 currently is still doing it as well. Meddling with the storyline a lot and not letting the Community steer the narrative. But Elite has never been that story driven before anyways, you go out and make your own. Whether it's Piracy, Powerplay, AX, or good old Mercenary jobs and picking a faction's side in a war. It's a sandbox where you make your own stories, always was.

Can they just remember they released a console version? If NMS works on console, there's absolutely no reason Odyssey couldn't as well. They don't even have to worry about crossplay, since nobody really wants to get stomped by some ganker with a HOTAS and wider FOV. If they release Odyssey on console, that would bring back a huge chunk of the playerbase, and help their financial woes as I'm sure nobody would mind paying a reasonable price for it. We paid for Horizons, after all.

Anyone know how cmdr Burr manages to film such kino footage? Also I can't even tell if it's the kind of locales he finds or if he actually has some kind of reshade preset action going....or most unbelievable of them all, it's all vanilla graphics, which I've maxed out but doesn't really seem to match the quality I see here

It's all maxed out vanilla graphics. We make a point of not using any mods or reshades etc. It's all filmed by my wife, cmdr rheeney.
