As always the sound team does an immaculate job, just wish the rest of the teams had the same effort and the company put more funding back into this game
art design and graphics department are also top notch, the game looks too good to run this well too. its more the game design part that is a bit behind.
@@Crusina dont get me wrong I still love what theyve done, but am also winded that a lot of times it doesnt feel like they fully listen to their playerbase or focus on what makes ED special in the first place
Most of the time that blast straight up kills you. The Cutter and Corvette have enough protection to survive it once. If they hang around too long the second blast gets them.
@@jisazuramee1006 What, like a "by-product" of whatever the Thargoid are doing? Not exactly aligned to the Thargoid, but rather "exists" due to the Thargoid's actions. Might be mis-reading, however.
I spawned in it's arrival system to see what will happen there. Was really surprized that my guardian FSD booster went off almost immediately. These things really don't like guardians.
If lots of cmdr’s formed a line trying to get in, do you reckon the ones at the back might make it through. The pulse might not regenerate quickly enough. Depends how far out that shockwave goes I guess
@@Writers_End The key to get in is in the Cmdr Jameson’s Logs 2 0f 4 // Threaded my way past their perimeter, masked my heat signature so I could get close to the superstructure.
Wow. Just… *_WOW._* I’d call anyone doing such a thing out of their mind, but you were very, VERY brave for getting inside, discovering and witnessing what could be the center of that Thargoid base and getting out. I hope Galnet uses this in their videos!
Oh god, what if that big ass cloud in the center IS the fucking Thargoid? It’s not a cloud, or a gas, it’s a biomass……a nest? Idk exactly what’s going on because I’ve been off of ED for about a year but holy shit, the galaxy seems to be really fucked up right now.
Sure is. Thankfully, it’s mostly around the SOL bubble, but we are in a full-blown galactic war. Ever since these maelstroms arrived, they’ve taken over system after system. It’s worse than anything I could have ever imagined.
Probably need to try approaching with an unknown artifact in your cargo hold. You used to be able to intentionally overheat yourself by going into silent running to "burn" the acid off your ship, only thing is you will lose your shields :D Cool video, thanks!
@@mikkdc if you watch closely you can see there is 2 weaves. The first is the emp that shuts down you ship so you can't thrust your way back in after the second kinetic wave.
Imagine you get yeeted back by the wave into a caustic generator, who also proceeds to explode, yeeting you back. Thargoid Maelstrom starts playing Pinball with your ship
whatever that is, it does NOT want anybody even slightly close and it knows how to do that perhaps they're like hubs/temporary hives for the thargoids to retreat to or come from?
i just got a HOTAS and I have been playing this game for YEARS on console but switched over after they stopped support. Christ man, I thought it took me for ever to remap my controller to my liking...I got this game a month ago and hardly been playing as I have been spending time tweaking controls, flying practice runs, rinse, repeat...
just can't make it work with all the code differences, this exists because they dropped you console peasants, just can't make the game better with the limitations the consoles have.
@@zachjollimore4339 you speak of code differences, yet all the other multiplatform games exist just fine. FDev are just incompetent, it's an undisputable fact. And since you look down on console players, I'm gonna have to ask you very cordially, to go and eat some glass
It is a Thargoid titan, NOT a hive ship from lore, It was datamined. Hiveships hold several titans This thing is big, colony ship likely to be in another two years
They are both vying for the same end goal, just from different directions. ED made *the galaxy* explorable, with unique encounters in every system. SC tries to make the most immersive experience possible with the highest level of detail. Main difference is one is fully released and receiving game expanding updates while the other is in perpetual "open alpha"
@@Keloot yeah? that's why so many left ED to play SC and never came back? The thing about SC is immersion and interactability in a depth ED will never come even close. But I think both games complements each other in a way. You can't really say ED is better than SC or the other way around, and I personally left ED once ground combat started to feel like a Destiny game and lost that realistic/sim feel to it
@@xdeckard6 To be fair, a lot also left star citizen or waiting for the release, while a lot of people are still hopefull for ED to turn things around. ED is still selling and people are still playing it. At the moment, it's a lose lose situation for both fans. Hopefully starfield will keep everyone happy while these two games fix itself.
Let's note that that was definitely an EMP blast, which is interesting to see here. It seems to react to a perimeter of some sorts as well if you get to close. It patty smacks you out and that's the end of it, no attack, just a guarded warning. Very interesting find!
As what i know about Fdev devs , there is nothing into that to see... Just a basic feature to try to keep players into the game , but like all other features, just nothing really interesting to see inside ( that's why there is this shockwave, just to keep players away from the void ) Just a waste of time imo.
@@suavevalen Tried to get two commanders in there? Like one behind the other to make like a opening? Kinda like what we can see on a cars in air, then two cars getting close enough, or how some places an icebreaker want the following ship close as to make sure the ice down have enough time to refreeze too. Im interested in to hear or see if the pulse wave can go through the first ship to shut down the ship behind it
Have we tried flying in there with thargoid heats sensors etc, guardian relics, unclassified relics… anything of this nature. I want to study this area but can’t due to not having proper funding. Something I really find interesting, what is the pride thing the new interceptors shoot out? Can we collect it?
Humans have fought and defeated thargoids at war before. We do have a chance, but the tech to deal with them will probably be unlocked over the storyline. This is just the beginning.
@@dediguise0018 we fought and defeated them yes, but they have evolved and stuff like the mycoid virus doesn’t work against them anymore, now they’re learning to counter our guardian human hybrid weapons, i think this will be a true war.
They used to be the unknown anomalies that were slowly being discovered by players heading to bubble after Proteus wave misfire. With update 14, they finally arrived and turned into this. They Are suspected to be some kind of Thargoid hive ships.
@@APM298 bubble is composed of all the human inhabited systems around Sol system, about 200 light years in radius. Most of the Elite Dangerous galaxy is not inhabited. You can see the rough size of the bubble if you change the view in the Galaxy map to "Powerplay".
We asked for atmospheric planets with thunderstorm clouds but instead we get thargoid clouds with more grinds for anti maelstrom coating and other crap
A yes the perpetual anti elite bot that is organic and not a stock bot account for a scam game that shall not be mention. BTW who the fuck is we? I sure as shit couldn't care about atmosfere worlds. I would care about game play tho

'didn't promise' uh ok, he only promised until we gave him kickstarter cash and then I guess it wasn't a 'promise' anymore.
I give ED credit for finally giving us something to play/fight against, that game that has citizens in its stars could take a few lessons from them on this account..
@@Hellyos90 I agree, at least FDEV is attempting some world-building, unlike the competitor that's been messing around on getting a second system built..
To be honest I've been playing SC for a while and the only thing that's better about it is the 3rd person camera and being able to walk around your ship. Other than that it's quite tedious. It's ok to like and play both.
