I think the Kraken is a perfect org ship, finding crew might be hard, same as Idris and Polaris. But the Perseus might be great for a 3-4 group, an easy number to get together, I didn't buy the Javelin because I don't think a Javelin or bigger would find the players to crew fully enough to use all it's potential, It will be very exciting to see the coordination of group when ships are released from concept in the future.

I hope the Kraken stays closer to its concept art than the BMM did. Not criticizing the BMM’s look, just quite different than the concept art imo.

I got praetorian concierge rank a few days ago, been a long time goal for the F8C Lightning Executive. Biggest ships I own not melted are Kraken, Orion, BMM, 890j, Polaris. Only way I see getting a Jav is through the referral program tbh. My goal in SC long term will have more to do with industry but being able to defend the operation will be absolutely critical. That's why I feel good about owning the big ships, org support. Once we get ingame org features these behemoths will come into a new form, especially with player bases. Long time away and that's ok, just because quality takes time.

The BMM is an incredible value on this list. It’s rare to find a combat capable capital thats not a credit pit . Sure, the Kraken Privateer, can do everything better but it’s not nearly as profitable & versatile. It not only needs a larger skeleton crew & turret gunners but it’s really designed as a centerpiece of a larger fleet. It shines most when it can launch, resupply and provide cover fire for the fighter ships. When need be a BMM could be paired with a Crucible to provide similar functionality at half the cost.

I’m sure you remember the bangle carrier will be available in game also just not available for purchase very big orgs will be in search of that. That seemingly is the ultimate ship for a fleet. But anyhow love the video I look forward to the kraken, I just love carriers in general. I do not think it alone can defeat an idris but full laden with ships geared to take cap ships you better believe it’s done for.

I'd second this. I also snagged a Kraken because it's a carrier but I question it being able to fight an Idris. If you have a full compliment of combat ships with you to deploy sure. Just 1v1 though I doubt it. As far as carriers go, part of me does want to see what CIG would come up with if they ever decide to make the Crusader Industries Jupiter class carriers.

Forgot the pegasus. A smaller carrier than the bengal, but plenty of ship to try and control probably have to find an abandoned one also most likelyt. I mean an idris has 3 fighters maybe 4 if the argo hold can fit an arrow. Kraken has 5 smaller ships and 2 heavier fighters or bombers. I think it could be win vs an idrisP which doesn't have military armor, size 10, or missiles. They should be pretty similar on attack at even idrisK level. Though the idrisK has missiles that are size three so designed more for fighters.

@@davewills6121 So what you are saying is that u theoretically can buy the cheapest ship, melt it, buy the 2nd cheapest ship, melt it again, etc up untill the most expensive ship. and then say u own all those ships, when u practically only have 1 ship that u can spawn in the game? From my point of view, u own the ship if u can spawn it (or the loaners) in the game, but maybe im wrong.

Well you'll either have to reach a certain Concierge level, or earn it in game (SQ42) i believe, either way you'll have to buy it. And that's at least 2 yrs away.
