I purchased the RC5+ for continuous temperature monitoring for storage of COVID vaccine, as required by the CDC and the NYCDOH. I am quite satisfied with the device, found its set-up process relatively easy, accompanied by this video and am able to upload data for submission to my health department.
I could not find the Thermal Time Constant info on any data sheet so I took a chance and purchased one. I measured a whopping 8 minute Time Constant. It take 40 minutes to reach a new temperature. FAR too slow for what I need so I returned it.
I now have one and so far love it. A question though - can it store more than one program and then I pick which one to run? I may need it for an astronomical event where I may not have immediate access to a computer to adjust things, so having multiple templates would be nice.
Hello, I have the RC-5+ I am able to start recording after I have set the parameters in software, but if I stop the recording, I am not able to start it again without saving parameters to it again. Is this normal? if not, how can I start and stop multiple times? Does it append to an existing log, or start a new file?
An offset (not slope) calibration is possible using the RC-5 software. With the device connected to a USB port (and the software permitted to "make changes to this computer" despite the "unknown publisher" or missing certificate): Click "Parameter Set" (in toolbar or Settings menu), then enter the required delta (negative to decrease the reading) as "TemperatureCalibration" near the bottom of the second column, then click button "Save Parameter", confirm and Exit. Note that although the Up/Down arrow buttons change the offset by a full degree, you can edit to the displayed resolution of 0.1°. For any further questions, you may have a look Elitech FAQ part.
I just got mine but it's showing NC and the play+stop icon are on and off constantly. It doesn't start when the play button is pressed for 5 seconds. Where can I get assistance?
Hi Cecilia, the NC message appears with two possible reasons. One is the temperaure is out of the measurement range. Another one is the sensor issue. You may contact our support team via support@elitechus.com
Hi! To setup the data and time, please connect the device to your computer, open the software ElitechLog. Go to Parameter, and select the correct time zone and click Save Parameter in the end. If the time zone setting field is greyed out, please click Save Parameter directly, it will sync to your computer time automatically.
Hi! Are you trying to set the logging interval to 1 hour? If so, please connect the device to your computer, open the software ElitechLog, go to Parameter, find Logging Interval and set it to 1 hour 0 min 0 sec. Click Save Parameter in the end. Then you device will be ready to start a new logging with 1-hour recording interval.
@@ElitechTechnologyInc Hi, thanks for your answer!. Yes, I have set the logging interval to 1 hour. However, it recorded during 6 days and wrote one register. Thus, I have just one temp Max and Min. What I need is a daily record with its Max and Min records. Is this possible?.
