The "2011 World Artistic Gymnastic Champion" in the *All Around* was Jordyn Wieber, on Floor Exercise it was Ksenia Afanasyeva, while Jordyn placed 6th in the same event.
She's 4th at the olym. trials as of 6/29/12 behind Weiber, Douglas and Raisman. I had no Idea who she was and she's doing very well. She did better than Ross, Bross, Liukin, and others. She shocked me. I hope she makes the team. She even had an amanar on vault which she did very well and even surprised Tim and Elkie. On floor I felt it was Weiber, Ross, and Price--not Weiber, Douglas and Raisman. She really shocked me. That's why I'm chcecking her videos the next day--6/30/12. She's very good.
Elizabeth has everything: height, great 180 split leaps, awesome tumbling, nice dance. I'm sure she already knows the only problem because you can tell she's trying to fix it; sickle feet. Especially on beam, where it seems she needs to be more confident to do the split jumps. Girl, you have the 180 (on floor) GO FOR IT!!! Look at the tumbling you do on beam. You have everything it takes. Take it!!!
Definitely a great gymnast and routine. The only issue is that she uses the same music as the current world champion, who is much more artistic and elegant...I'm not saying it matters (I like Price's style just as much) but when you use the same music, you're begging to be compared to the other.
I thought the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastic Champion was Jordan Wieber? When I check Stats on the website for this it says that Ksenia Afanasyeva place 7th in the All Around. Just wondering.
That double double was textbook perfect. I feel like she could have done a full in for the last pass even. Maybe she will let it all out at the Trials.
I am so tired of messy double straights! Why do coaches even allow their gymnasts to do these difficult skills if they can't even keep their legs locked together? How is she supposed to do even more difficult tumbling passes? I seriously miss compulsories every time I see something like a that. As much as I like the new code, I am disappointed in the coaches and gymnasts view that difficultly will always beat execution.
