Their love story in the first three films resonates so powerfully because they don't end up together. I actually kind of love that it doesn't work out. It almost makes you feel like their love is stronger because they can't be together. It's tragic, but beautiful. I remember watching At World's End in the theater and feeling crushed by the ending, but then my heart got a little lighter during the post-credit scene with the green flash. I saw the film twice just so I could the end credit sequence again. So earnest and romantic.

I just rewatched the original trilogy after a long time and I'm realizing that they were one of, if not the most iconic couple for me growing up. The pure love between them was goals, and their chemistry was stunning.

Will and Elizabeth are the best Disney and non-Disney couple I've ever watched. Even after all this time I can rewatch the films and feel everything as if it was the first time. I remember the first time I watched At World's End and how pissed I got by the ending. I cried and screamed. I couldn't belive they were not able to me together. But then I grew older and I realized it was the perfect ending for them. They loved each other since the moment they met and they'll love each other despite the long 10 years wait between their meetings.
