This is another tribute to Dame Elizabeth in celebration of what would have been her 80th Birthday. It's set to "the Elizabeth Anthem"..."Diamonds Are Forever" by Shirley Bassey! :)
LONG story short! Many years ago, I wrote to Elizabeth, never expecting a reply. I mentioned many things we shared, including our mutual appreciation of jewelry. Much to my surprise, she graciously responded, which resulted in an ongoing correspondence until shortly before her passing!
LOVE this video tribute to the ultimate Diamond Goddess! Burton with the Taj Mahal Diamond on his head cut to Elizabeth with it on hers is so fabulous. Perfect song choice.
This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman on her 80th birthday! I celebrated her birthday by watching "A Place in the Sun" & "A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". She was something truly special and I love this tribute. The editing, the song choice- it's absolutely perfect :)
What a magnificent tribute! Thank you so much simply priceless. I celebrated her birthday by contributing to ETAF and watching CAT and Cleopatra. The choice of this song by Dame Shirley was perfection too. This video I will watch often to honor our Regina Della Notte. Oh how we miss her. Hope her 80th with her loves in heaven was a blast. Now young again and without pain her first birthday in heavenly splendor. TY for this spectacular tribute. ELIZABETH WE LOVE YOU SING IT TO HER MJ!!
Just discovered this gem 💎 of the Biggest shining star 🌟 🤩 EVER. Her physical beauty was exceeded only by the beauty of her heart! At her death, her jewel collection brought 170 🤔 million, all of which went to charities close to her heart 💜 💖. Lest you wonder, her 👪 family members were well taken care of! Elizabeth like Diamonds IS FOREVER! 💎👑 QUEEN👸of diamonds, QUEEN👸 of Hollywood, QUEEN 👸 of the NILE 😉, and QUEEN👸of HEARTS 💕! RIP dearest Dame Elizabeth, you will never be forgotten! 💎 Crown 👑
I am glad you liked the video. I went to see her jewelry collection in Geneva when they were doing the exhibition after her death. I filmed the footage of the jewelry originally for a tribute episode of a local TV show I used to host.
Aww, thank you so much for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed this. :) I celebrated her birthday by watching "Return Engagement" and making this video. Elizabeth Taylor was so wonderful. The world will never see the likes of her again...
Thank you Jeri for all your sweets words. I also made a small donation to ETAF for her birthday. I think that's what she would have wanted us to do. Cleopatra is awesome so is Cat. You are right she is out of her pain now. Hopefully she and her loved ones celebrated her 80th birthday in style in heaven... ;)
Thanks for watching. Diamonds are a beautiful gem stone. I saw Elizabeth's ring from Richard Burton, the Krupp diamond when Christies made their exhibition back in 2011. The way that stone broke the light was amazing.
Thank you Tess. I will do my best to keep up the good work. :) And yes the song and Elizabeth works well together. It was suggested to me by my friend Chrissy. :)
I know what you mean, I've got some cubic zirconia rings myself. No way I could afford the real thing, especially not in those sizes that Elizabeth wore! ;) Thanks for watching btw.
LOL at Richard wearing the necklace on his face xD By the way, at 1:17 - 1:25, what is that interview from? I've seen animated GIF images of it around the internet. I'm pretty sure the Taylor-Burton was the largest diamond to be set in a ring up till that point (1969).
ragemanchoo82 The interview you asked about is the 60 minutes interview from 1970. About 10 minutes of it was uploaded to youtube in 2011 after her passing. It was filmed at Elizabeth's mother's house in Los Angeles before the Oscars that year. Richard was nominated for Anne. I agree that the Taylor-Burton must have been the largest diamond ring ever in 1969! Thanks for watching my video btw.
The clips of Elizabeth around those time codes are from the movie "Ash Wednesday". :) The jewellry clips are mine. I filmed them for an Elizabeth Taylor tribute episode of a show called Neon that I hosted back in 2011.
Diamonds are not everything, they don't matter in the big picture of life, all I care about is to be loved, I truely dont care about such trivialities, its so much more important to have a tender touch,
I agree with you. But since Elizabeth took pride in her jewellries this song does fit her. Also I guess a reason why she loved those jewellries so much was because they reminded her of the great loves of her life...
Well yeah their lifestyle was really lavish. But I guess that's what made them Hollywood stars of their time. ;) Who knows if they really were happier than poor people? Diamonds and wealth is not all.
