I slipped and fell climbing up a waterfall as a kid once but luckily I only scratched up my side a bit before falling into a deep pool of water instead of the flat rock face right next to it. I’m just super skilled at falling down waterfalls as it turns out. After that I didn’t fuck around with waterfalls anymore.

I almost had the same fate walking across a waterfall in northern Michigan. It was fairly flat at the top so I started walking across. Even though the water was just over ankle deep, the rock was sooo slippery from the constant flowing water that I was just slowly sliding towards the edge. Went down to my hands and knees and got enough grip again. I crawled my way back to the edge, I may or may not have shit myself in the process. Never walking across a waterfall again, those things scare me now

Many years ago my friend slipped on a waterfall. Another friend tried to catch him and they both ended up at the bottom of the waterfall about 10 meters below. One cracked his skull and probably died on spot while the other cracked his ribs and bled to death on the way to the hospital. Waterfalls can be very beautiful but are too dangerous. I had as a child seen dead cattle who probably slipped and fell on rocks.

Dang, that is crazy. I feel so sorry for the elk. That's all sharp rocks it hit as it tumbled and fell. You definitely can hear the bones crack. Nature can be really scary sometimes.

My wife and I go hiking alot and i always make sure she never gets too trusting with the Falls... yes, they are beautiful...but are very dangerous. Underneathe all that water is a moss that produce a slime-like substance that is impossible to get a grip of. In the video you can clearly see the elk tried to get a grip but most likely that soggy wet grass we see everywhere, was probobly under the water too and it was too slippery to stop

Absolutely brutal hearing the bone cracking and contorting. As someome whos witnessed someone die from falling incident near a cliff and someone get hit by high speed traffic that shit haunts you for a good while. Especially the noises and seeing just how quickly life can be snuffed out. Wouldnt surprise if this didnt traumatize you for a few good weeks 😟

This is actually a common cause of death. I have heard of hunters coming across dead wapiti at the base of steep slopes - with no sign of being shot, just busted up legs and a broken neck.

That first bull almost fell in that same spot! At least where he slipped there was that hill to break the fall. But witnessing two falls like that in less than 20 minutes, you wonder how many animals have plummeted to their deaths at that waterfall. So sad.
