yes...indeed...the Elka is one of the most dreamy amd nostalgic sounding machine ever created...(in fact was also used by Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre among many...)

Absolutely! the Rhapsody 610 is one of the most ispiring keyboard from that era...the Elgam Carousel also it s awesome..but for a different musical approach..less harmonic/keyboard oriented...
@@Napalbe Yes, exactly! I just recently discovered, how amazing in general the Italian synthesisers sound, and how unique they are. They are quite rare, some even ultra- rare, but here and there I chance some offers, mostly Crumar. I still hope I'll find a Rhapsody one day, that's a must...

This is a great demo! The two additional effect devices that you used here went totally under my radar. The Rhapsody was used by Supertramp in their song "Fool's Overture".

Very capable instrument nice textures from this Rhapsody. I have played a few strings machines from this era but this one is special. Roland RS202, ARP/Eminent and other clones are also quite good.
Absolutely agree with you! the Rhapsody 610 is special...i suggest you also to check other italian string synths from that era...such as Crumar Multiman, the Logan String Melody 2 and many other..each one with its unique character..for me a lot better then the already heard Solinas and Roland stuff
Gah! I found one of these in an alley once non-functional and I had no real knowledge of electronics at the time (and the internet was still relatively young - this was early 00s). I don't think I even knew it was a "stringer" then and I don't remember what i did with it. But i love string synths and this is a great one. I don't even want to see what they go for in good condition now.
You would need a time machine and back to that past moment to bring with you that Elka! Now is rare founding one in good conditions..and it has not only value but above all sounds amazing

Totally agree Oryjen! This one and the Elka Twin 61 (it s like having 2 Rhapsody 610 in one...) are the most celestial and unique sounding string machines around...Solina it s too predictable and overused for me...
How did you do that split? Or is that just the magic of editing? :P You also made the Rhapsody sound amazing! I was already in love with mine, but I realize now I have much more to explore.
Thank you mate i record a set of total free improvisation (i m a jazz player mainly)..and then i selected some parts of this... yes indeed..the Rhapsody is total Magic..it sounds as no other string machines
