This woman is so strong. I am privileged to have know and worked with her on a couple of occasions. She helped care for my newborn in Carrie Tingley Hospital. Ellaf is a force to be reckoned with. I look up to her.
What happened to Ellaf was devastating. Ellaf, please know you are brave and incredible. Your parents are primitive and barbaric for doing this to you. No one deserves to experience these events. Thank you for sharing your story.
The family shouldn't be in disbelief. You managed to look after your kids, to save money under extreme conditions, to work and get education and to survive all that. It was obvious you were capable of great things without the abuser holding you back. I congratulate you, I admire you and wish you every success in your life.
Each one of these stories are horrifying! My heart goes out to all of the young girls and women who have suffered through such abuse. It’s should be shocking that this is allowed to happen in The West but Islam has been given a free pass under Freedom of Religion and “Islamophobia.” All of these women are truly incredible but this poor girl of 14 in ISIL Country, pregnant and in such danger and distress is horrific! I was married to a Muslim from Iran 🇮🇷. I’m American 🇺🇸, never converted to Islam, I refused to go to Iran. We had 3 young daughters, just bought a house when my husband announced that we were moving to Iran 🇮🇷. He had just returned from Iran having visited his family and accepted a job as a pilot for Iran Air , never discussed anything with me. It was a real mess!! I sold the house in Florida in one week and moved home to Pennsylvania with my kids. These abandonments happened 3 times over the course of 10 years. The man was insane, horribly abusive and cruel. The trauma that my children and I suffered impacted all of us forever… No one fully recovers from something like this. Thank you Yasmine for the work you do. I think talking about this is therapy for all of us.
Regardless of all your achievements, the biggest of all is raising your children single-handedly. They still want you to wrap you up. Where were they when you passed through hell? What allowed your husband to own you in the first place, islam.
Where is NPR? Where is Lifetime Movie Network? Where is Netflix? Those same venues platform people, who escaped insular high control Christian or Jewish communities.
What are you talking about "orthodox christian" communities...do you even know what your'e talking about? No one needs to "escape" from orthodoxy...no one even asks you anything. Stop spreading non-sense
38:17 well muslim isnt a race so no thats not racism. Predjudice yes but racism no especially if you didnt have any problems when not wearing it. You cant take your "race" off. She must have lived in a highly muslm populated area to experience that. There arent a whole lot of muslims where I live & as far as I know, knowing some of them they dont experience that here. Now yeah Im sure some of them have heard some ignorant comments made but overall from what Im told thats not their experience
Why you don't worning girls who live in weat but her family amigrated from muslim country that amigrated to the west country. How the parent convins the to visit the homeland and they hide from them the groom that the aranged for them. Most of the girl pass via delorisa until the succid to get rid of the abusive husband. Why you dont worn then in advance. Your enimy are:: 1. The Imams 2. your religion 3. Your father. 4. . (Sometime) Your mother. 5. . The muslim males gender.in your family: grandfather, father, brother, sons, husband.
