Ellen uses this "i am a homosexual woman" card. Just like how Lily Singh uses the "i'm a bisexual woman of color" card. Their sexuality/ethnicity is not a personality. Their personality sucks, nothing more. There are other women/members of the LGBT community who are humble and genuinely nice.

Even though this is a completely different example, what you said also links similarly with and reminds me of the backlash associated with the character of Rey in the sequels of Star Wars. Most people dislike her because she is powerful ("Mary Sue") without an explanation and lacks character development. People such as Kathleen Kennedy from Disney claim that these views arise from misogyny and people are bothered by the fact that the main protagonist is a woman. However, ever since Clone Wars season 7 came out, Star Wars fans were really satisfied with the way Lucasfilm portrayed the female character Ahsoka Tano and many respect her, thus gender has nothing to do with the majority of the fanbase's opinions. As you said, Ellen likes to play the "homosexual woman" card, just as Kathleen Kennedy likes to play this card of "the force is female too". Some may perceive this example to be going off on a tangent since it's about Star Wars, not Ellen 😂, but it came to my head instantly when I read your comment and I found that it resonated well with a similar concept.

Ellen has been insulting so many guests lately. I am finding her show to watch. If she isn’t bragging about how much money she has, speeding in her multiple luxury cars, how entitled she is, how much she spoils her wife, how many houses she has and how many celebrity friends she has! I have been an Ellen fan since she began as a comedian and was on Johnny Carson! I LOVED her movies and her Ellen Morgan sitcom. I went several of her shows in the 90s and even named my first BMW ELLEN (vanity plate) but she has really begun to concern me.

No joke, I was at the taping of this show. It was September of 2016 and Tom Hanks was the main guest. I remember when this happened I thought this would cause backlash if it made TV. What you don't see here, is Ellen literally made that poor woman sit there the ENTIRE 90 minute show.

Considering the size of ellens viewers and the fact that they aired it on tv, she would have had a considerable case (if this was real).

How is taking freebies rude? If she really didn't want to give those free stuff, she wouldn't even put them there in the first place and hired some guards to prevent people from taking more than she intends to give; obviously people are gonna take extra stuff by that point
