Craig was quite simply the best talk show host of all time. A terrible pity he decided to quit his role as the Late Late host. This video of Ellen Page as guest shows how good Craig was at putting his guests at ease and bringing out the very best in them. Despite his quirky sense of humour he always treated his guests with respect but at the same time, they always seemed to be happy to be there and enjoyed being on the show.

And unfortunately we live in a world where you can’t call out psychological issues without being called hateful. She actually seems happier here than she does now that she transitioned and unfortunately a lot of trans people end up committing suicide because they have so many more deep seated issues that now go untreated

You can't see it on this video, but earlier in this episode, during the monologue, Craig talked about Ellen "coming out of the stage", and then made a joke about her actually coming out.

there is no doubt she is a beautiful woman. Her problem is she doesn't seem to be very outgoing, friendly or personable. Decent actress, but those looks don't really carry much of a personality.

It's his job, and it just works fantastically with more recluse, shy people like Page, he makes her look so very attractive, spontaneous, cute and bubbly, when if it were slightly another shy person, it would make for a ridiculous awkward conversation. But nice catch!

In mexico we do this all the time, and a lot in southern american states with bigger mexican populations which is where i live (south texas). its a mexican custom as well. its not creepy just because you're ignorant to other people's customs.

The idea is that it's his cue cards. Generally speaking, talk show hosts have a list of topics to discuss with the guests, and he goes out of his way to show he isn't doing that.
