When I though Kate’s speech has been touching and moving enough Ellen has an incredible and hilarious acceptance speech that really really shows how great she is as a tv host and a speaker. Just as Ellen said, countless of people are influenced by the show with the power of tv and they got all the motivation to make this world better. Kate is like Ellen’s student on this stage ( though she’s not while she’s absolutely inspired bu Ellen) and you could really see how much she adores Ellen. I felt like Ellen’s also moved unexpectedly to herself by Kate’s sincere and moving words. It’s nothing more but pure precious moment to see these two iconic comedians and great examples of successful LGBTQ celebrities being connected with each other.

One of the things I've always liked about Ellen as a comedian is that she has absolutely perfect timing.

Kate McKinnon's speech is truly heartfelt and I love so much she got the chance to say this - because I don't doubt for a moment what she said is true, and you don't often get to tell the people that are your personal inspirations how much they mean to you. Nice to see this... And, I expect that someday, someone will be presenting Kate McKinnon the Ellen Degeneres award.

Ellen’s facial expression at 3:51 is everything. It got me so emotional. Thanks Ellen for being an inspiration to many. You don’t have to be gay or lesbian to relate to that speech. People are discriminated everyday because of their economic status, sickness, skin color, body size etc. People like Ellen encourage us to look at life in a positive way and stand up for what we believe in, even if it’s socially unacceptable. There is a quote which says “We don't get to choose how we're born, and very rarely how we die; but we get to choose how we live”

Thank you so much Ellen - for being who you are. you gave me the courage to step into the fire and be public with my mental health challenges - From suicide to psychosis, anxiety to depression, eating disorder to disordered eating, I can truly say that I have experienced the gamut of mental health conditions. And overcome them, for the most part. Some days are easier than others. The struggle to manage my mind is real. Yet, by using a multifaceted approach, I have learnt how to do just that. And this is a message that needs to heard. I just finished writing "Beyond the Label: 10 Steps to Improve your Mental health with Naturopathic Medicine" - feared being ostracized by the medical profession -- but so far so good. Much love to you and your family (and your husband Mark..that was hilarious!)
