Ellen's Stardust Diner in New York City | Worth the Wait? 

I can say this is worth the wait! I went on a trip to NYC and me and my aunt went here for lunch! Its such an amazing place! I honestly had no idea what to expect and why the line was long but two good things came out of it. Good service. Good entertainment. 10/10

I went there for my birthday dinner in 2007 and I really wasn't all that impressed by the food...the entertainers were fun though.

We're from NZ & visited the USA in 2018, a cave guide in Texas recommended this diner. It's absolutely as good as the hype, great food and excellent entertainment. Worth queuing for.

One of the GreATesT places I've ever been to in my life, 😃👌‼️‼️🌟🎯🎯 Love it 100 %%%% I got lucky and Grease was the recital the first time I went. My favorite movie and my favorite tv show The HONEYMOONERS was playing on every old-school 50s tv which I adored The AWAY WE GO BURGERS were excellent as were the REAL CHERRY COKES W CHERRY AND REAL OL SCHOOL COME GLASSES. everyone there was in a great mood , including us as soon as we got in the door 😃 Very nice ppl very comfirtable. I've never had to way in a line at all luckily We walked rt on each time I've gone( a few times) I adore rollerskating in Central Park and everything in NYC at Christmas time but It's hard to beat this great place. It fast became an extreme favorite of mine! I ADORE EVERYTHING about it ! Very COZY booths n delish culture food too , but to mention, great entertainment included🥰👌🎯💙📺🌜🌟💓🌛

I go around 2 am 3 am and go right in. But that was back in 2008. I'm sure its grown in popularity since then.

When I was attending college in NYC, I went to Ellen's Stardust Diner with several of my classmates in 1987. Compared to what is depicted in this video above, Ellen's had not yet morphed into this out-of-control, overly-commercialized curiosity, like everything else in Manhattan. Back then, of course, the waitstaff still sang a couple of show tunes and exchanged pleasantries with the customers. Today, it appears a table of four will find it impossible to actually conduct a conversation while dining. Unfortunately, the hype (as witnessed from the line across the block!) has hijacked this formerly adorable 50's diner and transformed it into a flashy, gimmick-laden eatery, perhaps not unlike the Naked Cowboy wearing his skid-marked tighty whities in Times Square. By the way, the confetti drop on tables while people are eating seems a bit unsanitary. Ugh!! Too bad Ellen's Stardust Diner's best days are behind her.

Total tourist trap - awful food and expensive for what it is. Clearly they know majority of guests are visitors so will not be back anyways...
