The difference is the pitches and notes. In the studio she sang more up note, in the acoustic she sang downwards. Thats probably what people meant

Her voice is different, unique. Some people love listening to replicas and hate on people who are something out of this world. She's something to cherish. You don't find this voice too often.

I always felt really stupid and self conscious whenever I record my vocals in front of people because I do the Christina Aguilera hand thing, but I feel so much better seeing how she also uses it to stay in control of a lot of pitch changes. Came back to watch this in 2020 and it seems now I have even more respect for this performance. She was so pro at this point already, just the way she is able to control her voice and even subtly changes her positions as compared to the mic in order to make it sound the way it should during certain higher notes.
