Life after Soscial media must be terrefying for young artists/performers/actors. - There will allways be someone with a camera on you, capturing everything and anything, some even provoking reactions, just to publish and laugh. - They cant ever go outside without looking their best. - There is simply no room for making mistakes or even beeing human becaus "it will cost you fans!" - The constant pressure from managment - Who too trust? who is not just there for the free ride or publicity?

Women are put under exceptional pressure about maintaining their physique, but there is also an exceptional tendency for their physique to get them _into_ Hollywood in the first place compared to with men; that's an extra opportunity these women are getting in many cases. I mean, it's not like people will dislike you just because your looks dropped a bit... they might just lose some of their burning passion for you; isn't that how you would treat someone? You're not going to dislike a man for becoming less exciting than he once was, but he won't be quite as magnetic to you as he used to be, either. In any case, you probably want to celebrate things for women, so why not celebrate how looks will garner them a lot of appreciation compared to a man who is equally talented? Why not enjoy things that are enjoyable? It's weird how we have these abstract things about which to be happy, like how many women are in x industry, which someone like Ellie could only vicariously enjoy (because she can't actually be all of these other women in the industry at once (no one can)), when there is a tangible enjoyment that she actually experienced, and yet she and others don't want to celebrate that. It's so weird... it's like if in school, you had a hall pass, and a teacher sees you and asks you why you are in the halls, and you decide to make up a story that is not only false, but is less rhetorically plausible than the true story that you can _prove_ with your hall pass. It would be one thing if you didn't have the hall pass (analogous to not having a real experience to celebrate) and had to make something up, but if you had an _actual_ hall pass, why would you ignore that and insist on making up an unconvincing, unproven story? Just use what you actually have, which is _easier_ to do than making up the story. You do enjoy victories, right? You seem to _want_ to enjoy them, at least, but I'm not sure that you even know what they really are if you think you have to resort to abstract victories.

We need to make ambition a bad word again we need to emphasize community & family not the individual especially if we’re going to have a capitalist society. Capitalism is going to have massive exploitation if we don’t have a culture that humanizes everyone. Emphasizing the we are as weak as our weakest link
@derekg5563

@kinwhatmatters4085: That won't work. What if you run into a man and want to think of him as not good enough for your standards, but you're not allowed to use his lack of ambition as a criterion, forcing you to take the terrifying risk of thinking that he isn't below your standards and that he might even be a human being of equal value to you?
