Who the hell cares about worthless Academy Award? They're just a bunch of tasteless bumholes, nothing more. Oscar statuette is a worthless piece of crap they give away to promote their interests. There are way more classy awards a composer'd love to get.
@@maciejszpakowski9037 Tough competion? I'd say that says it all about the oscar....really. Hans Zimmers music is a fart in the wind compared to goldenthals work.
Elliot is so very underrated. His work on Alien 3, Heat, Batman Forever, IWTV, Michael Collins....just wow. I think he had the misfortune of having his career peaks at the same time as say, Hans Zimmer, and a still potent John Williams, for example. I think this score and Alien 3 are my favorites of his, but frankly you can't go wrong with this guy.
I remember Anne rice saying THE SADDEST VAMPIRES YOU WILL EVER MEET....and this music brought what it must feel like to be ageless....to feel the pain of outlining your own children....its the emotion turned into a haunting melody.....
No, because the "best score award" was won by Lion King, which has one of the best scores in the history of cinematography. The best parts of the music of "Interview with the vampire" are pieces of classical music that are not original (Padre antonio soler sonata No. 12 f minor, The waltz is Strauss I - Kuttenbrücke-Walzer, for orchestra, Op. 4). "Lestat's piano sonata" (which I thing is original) is probably the best part of original music. It's not bad, but nothing compared to the main theme of Lion King.
Musicsl talent and art has never been truly been represented while the srtist child or whatever is alive just after kinda sucks how exspensive instuments are. I I know from growing up in environments where its hard to dsnce or have the musical instruments to help you communicate properly . Have a great day this composition is amazing and music theory is as deep as the other major sciences its infinite. Have a great day.
