I appreciate that you give a scent some time, smelling it and considering how your nose is responding instead of just launching into one first impression. Like how you really smelled and considered Sunfruit to understand it after an initial question mark. I enjoy Ellis Brooklyn, there's a wide range of fairly general scents, kind of like Replica, and Apres is one of my all time favorite scents. It's a perfect spicy cedar and takes me right to a fall forest every time I smell it. Very calming, beautiful from late summer to early spring for my personal wear. Great video!
I usually only like fruity, sweet perfumes, but you tempted me to try vanilla and milk-based perfumes. A lot of them don't really work on my skin, but Blanch Bete has recently become one of my favorites.
I have Florist and Apres. Apres is probably one of my favorite perfumes out of any I own. It's like a greener version of Autumn Vibes from Replica (which I also LOVE). I really want to try Myth. Thank you for talking about these!!!
I smelled Sunfruit at Sephora and I legit haven’t stopped thinking about it, I want it so bad, so fruity with a hint of coconut is everything to me. I HATED Vanilla Milk 🤢 Also, could you do one of these for Skylar?
Sweet has had my heart since it released, i adore it! It just makes me happy. Also recommend Miami nectar, Apple Love, Super Amber, and the divisive Vanilla milk (i like it so idc lol). Ooh and myth when wanna feel like a fully functional centered adult. Weirdly all the Ellis scents have a similar base i can detect and i know off the bat its Ellis. I agree 100% Salt Air is sooo much better than salt. They also recommend layering salt and sweet but i just dont vibe with salt unfortunately like i do with Salt air.
I got the same kit before Florist came out, and i think it was Sci-Fi that got replaced by Florist. I understand, Florist is my favorite SS scent of Ellis Brooklyn, but Sci-Fi is the first full sized perfume that I ever bought, and also it’s a very FW perfume. it’s an aromatic vanilla, very refined, powerful, and elegant, and yet still warm and friendly from the vanilla and cashmere woods. It’s like… a successful and assertive female boss who uses her feminine kindness and sense of community to gain appreciation from her subordinates, and it adds to her success
Bee is definitely my favorite, but I haven’t smelled Miami nectar yet. I also have Raven. I owned vanilla milk and I did NOT enjoy it but I used it up around my house instead 😂 I also enjoy Sweet and Salt.
I love sunfruit. I get the fig and the coconut. Florist is one of my favorite floral scents but doesn’t last.Sweet is my favorite of all of them and lasts most of the day.
@@perfumerism I wish that were in our local store! I blind bought Amber Haze and it smelled exactly like the industrial carpet that goes in office buildings on my skin. In the bottle it was great. 😂
I actually like vanilla milk on me but weirdly enough i spilled some on a book and the pages absorbed the sour note lol, on my skin I never got the bad note at least to my nose, and when I asked people they said it smelled good but I was still kinda paranoid they were just being nice lol, too much drama even though I liked it, also the mini bottle leaks bad.
This was validating - I bought the same discovery set and was just super underwhelmed by all the scents. And Vanilla Milk!? That scent catfished me. 😅🥴
i had a travel size of apple love and had to return it simply because the wear time was so ridiculously low on me. there was nothing left to smell after an hour. i was super disappointed because i loved the scent
Hi! I have a weird question: I tried the Fenty perfume and didn’t know my daughter was chewing gum so I first thought the peppermint scent belonged to the Fenty perfume. I actually loved the combination. So my question is, is there a perfume where peppermint is combined with something surprising, like rose?
I literally had Myth in my hand at Ross Dress for Less. I walked around the store reading fragrantica reviews. One said it was strong & smelled like hair conditioner. As a migraine/headache girlie I put it down. Now I’m seeing YT vids after the fact saying it’s a skin sent 😩. I should have bought it.
@@sandonique myth reads very cologne-like for me. it smells like a musky, slightly woody, androgynous (but more masculine) clean scent to me. of the notes on fragrantica & ellis brooklyn’s website, i think i smell the cassis, patchouli, musk, and cedar most prominently (i just sprayed it on my wrist and i’m smelling it right now haha). i know for some people it’s a second skin, lighter scent that blends into their skin seamlessly but that’s not how myth reacts to my body chemistry. it really sits on top of my skin- like, with one spray i can smell it pretty strongly all day long. it’s a really nice scent but the best i can describe it as is pretty cologne-like. as someone who doesn’t get headaches from perfumes super often, i would say myth might not blind buy safe if you’re sensitive to muskier scents!
Ok so Apres smells like pickles to me.. never had that happen before and ugh. I love Rrose, Myth, Salt and Florist. I also have the rollerballs and they’re HUGE; Thanks Sephora! Vanilla Milk smells like eggnog to me, couldn’t hang with that one lol.
I work at a store that sells Ellis Brooklyn & all of us employees love to layer Sweet and Salt. It’s an unbeatable combo, smells so good you’ll get compliments all day! Trust me!🤍🤍🤍
