Elmer's score to this film is marvelous and magical! A very sophisticated and complex masterpiece which is my number one favorite film score of alltime!!! Elmer put all of his experience and his best into this score and the result is the ultimate listening experience!!!
There was a midnight showing of this last night at the Coolidge Corner Cinema in Boston/Brookline MA. It was on original 35 mm film and you can see the grains and worn spots in some of the cells of the film. It was literally pulled out of the vault. I haven't seen this movie on the big cinema screen since it was originally released in 1981 when I was about to turn 9. Now I am 44 and still love this film. And I blew a thick cannon of weed right on the street 15 minutes before showtime LOL
