ELMO VS ROCCO - HOW ELMO IS IN THE RIGHT! | Double Toasted Bites - How can a cookie episode, and the concept of a character being referred to as "just a rock", can make such a scene on the internet? Well, no matter how it happened, it's definitely here and even though Sesame Street has celebrated it's 60th birthday recently, this beef that Elmo constantly loses his mind over, which is a rock BTW, and his beef with one of the other popular muppets named Zoe, has been one of the more ridiculous things that has happened in this show's history. What in the world could made Elmo so mad that he hates rocks? Well, Rocco or Rocko or however you wanna' call this friggin' thing, will be sitting right there infuriating Elmo as we discuss what has led us to this point in Sesame Street lore!

The hero lives long enough to become the villain. Elmo carried the whole franchise in the 90s, when better kids shows were being made, and THE STREETS outlasted all of them...and this is how The Streets treat him!?!? SMDH!

I remember Big Bird has a song "Just A Rock (But I Like It Fine)" It sounds like a diss song towards Rocco. I think it's just a coincidence but I still find that funny given the context.

I saw this on the main channel, and it is still funny. Someone could make a movie or an episode around this concept with a more serious, less child friendly tone to it. It could go something like this: Everyone else is treating Rocco like a living being, but Elmo is the only one that disagrees. He is being gaslit so much that he starts going insane. Elmo goes over the edge near the end and tries to destroy Rocco and anyone that gets in his way. Maybe there could be a twist at the end that Rocco actually is alive. We can call it Don't Look Down or something like that.

To be fair, old school Elmo from the 80s was a troll who enjoyed messing with people. The rest of Sesame Street couldn't stand him. He would have pulled this talking rock stunt himself just to drive people crazy.

Who would’ve known rocks can be kryptonite of people’s relationships, too. Why haven’t we gotten a document that talks about how rocks can put a tombstone on people’s relationship in a heartbeat after all of the talks about people getting killed by rocks or rocks from space crash landing into earth and destroying civilization in a film? I'm not bad mouthing anyone on here at all. I know they are playing and yes it's REALLY funny seeing Elmo being upset but people need to know these episodes aren't new. These are older episodes from the later 2000's seasons but this is how I enjoy my Elmo not to say I don't like Elmo in any way but this stuff is funny but yes Zoe had a pet rock named Rocco and she treated it like a living being. I think it's really funny how Elmo reacts. I know there are some kids out there that have friends who do this. Why would Sesame Street make episodes of this if this hadn't happened to other kids.

It's hilarious when the current generation baffles itself over cartoons past...to the point of making tv news. You just wanna tell ppl 21 and under "It was not that serious that an old cartoon blew your mind, you're just new and most likely an idiot"
