For you who about to rock I salute you "SIR", you hit all the right decades in succession, and while you were still able to see, listen, the best bands n concerts, while tickets were still affordable, I gotta know when did you or didn't you see your last band on tour?
ELO came to Houston a few years ago. They hadn't played the US in 35 Years! I spent 3K to get great seats for all of my family and friends. My Christmas present to everyone! A TRUE BUCKET LIST SHOW! They were phenomenal!
Several years back I developed the thing or I would send a friend of mine up in Maine a song I lived in Massachusetts and we would call it the song of a day I sent him this song do you and I got a response from a girl in Texas that we went to school with this song touched a whole generation love it
I'm from Mongolia--discovered Jeff Lynn's ELO late in my life. Now I can't stop listening to this great band and wonderful music! I wish I can see their live concert.
Jeff Lynne is the most talented Music God ever. He will be 71 in 2018 and his voice is Gold. All his live concerts sound as good if not better than the original recordings...Not many bands and musicians can match that. Just have a listen from Jeff Lynne's ELO at Wembley Stadium June 24 2017... Can't wait to see Jeff Lynne's ELO on the 2018 Europe and North American Tour. I just received my tickets for LA , NY and Toronto Canada. It will be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a shame this great concert from 2000 slipped under the public radar. The internet wasnt what it is now..no youtube or huge social media sites..the subsequent tour was cancelled due to low ticket sales..(because few knew about it is one reason). Fast forward to 2013 and children in need...raised huge interest in ELO and the special concert he did in hyde park went so well, a tour was arranged..sold out!. Im really pleased for Jeff...Like Vincent van gough,,,his work was ignored after ELO broke up, but at least Jeff has lived long enough to finally get true recognition for the genius he is.

Now that's a live performance for sure, as Jeff's got his main squeeze next to him... you go guy! BTW, it has taken me decades to really appreciate these guys. I think it was when Jeff joined the Traveling Wilburys that I really started to tune in to him and ELO!!

But it was well documented that Rosie Vella was his girlfriend during that tour. By the way, Jeff got married for the third time in 2017. You know what I see Jeff? A very homesick boy of 10 away at boy scout camp and listening to ELO and the Doors greatest hits and it turning me around. I always listened to my Mom's music and tucked away in my footlocker were a tape recorder, backup batteries and homemade tapes my mom made off the Lps. Got me through it. Actually made for a great time, seemed my tent was the hangout after my discovery.
That was a Band to see Live. I was young but loved it. Haven't heard them in awhile and really took me back to some good days when we didn't complain EVER or Worry about anything. Everyday was a good day and you could teust people. People wanted to have fun. Work hard first!!! Ha!
A classic song which sounds as fresh today as when released. My favorite line from any song "And I have seen pigs all sitting around watching picture slides." Each time I hear this line the image of little pigs sitting in chairs makes me laugh. A lifelong fan of Jeff and ELO in Cupertino Calfornia

Got the original single. Flip side was California Man. If I remember correctly, Do Ya was played in the USA and California Man in the UK. I love both tracks.
What a classic!! Remember seeing the New World Record tour in I think 78 at the old Cap Center in Landover MD USA and the giant flying saucer cover coming up to start the concer just like this. But like twice as big. Incredible band. One of a kind!!!!!
The best part of this song is from 2:06-3:25 Multiple instruments, varied tempo, great sounding lyrics and topped off by an awesome guitar riff. This is a classic tune I could listen to over and over.

Went to see ELO when I was 18. I am now 65. Loved them then and love them more today. Jeff Lynne is the best. Right up there with my other all time favorite Mr. Leon Russell. They don't come any better Kathy .W.
