Out of all the book, I think Eloise’s can turn queer the easiest tbh. Swap Sir Phil with Cressida. She got married, had kids & her husband pass away. They kept writing to each other & finally Eloise decided to move in with Cressida to help her with the kids & be “roommate”. Why not :)))

The moment Lord Cowper said 'stay away from that Bridgerton girl' beyond the gossip surrounding Eloise from the previous season it also seemed to have an undertone to it that had me wondering if Cressida had previously been caught getting close with a woman before..? This is not a development I expected but after the character and chemistry development between them from the last 4 episodes I am so there for it.

There's a strong "creloise" tag starting up on Tumblr since the season started - I for one welcome this video and this development. My heart was warmed watching Cressida and Eloise find solace and comfort in each other's companies this season. They're honest with each other. Even if they are just friends, I've loved seeing the two together!

am i the only one that feels so sad and devastated for Cressida? her mother is physically abused (the bruised arm moment was so painful), she got ridiculed when Penelope got praised for the same thing? unhappy and restricted in her own life, Debling’s absence in part 2. he would’ve been perfect cause he likely isn’t engaged in gossip at all, and wouldn’t be interested in the whole ‘unmask the lady whistledown’ thing and could support her. i was hoping she would run out to him. or if anything, Creolise would make more sense as the lgbt plot than whatever the writers have in mind (however i’m not so sure anymore after how they’ve complextly ruined their friendship)

I was wondering if Lord Debling is actually gay, because he was not offering romance or love, but a rather sensible relationship with the wife protecting his household (and reputation), while he’s abroad having fun aka doing research. So…

Talking as a queer person myself (and English), I dont see any queering in their friendship. Cressida is a social climber and somewhat stupid. Eloise, yes, I can see it, and hope she does better than Cressida, who isnt really a very nice person at all!

I definitely got the vibe from Cressida but I'm not convinced Eloise fully reciprocates. I see Eloise as demisexual. She needs someone who shares her ideals and visions for the world. Plus, I don't want Eloise to end up with the bully/mean girl. :(

I was quite sure Cressida was secretly in love with Eloise and Eloise being gay without yet realizing this fact; she’s the one who actually gives me really gay vibes. I expected them to have romance and their story to develop. Quite disappointed scriptwriters deprived us from their potential romance. But frankly this season 3 I really felt empathy for Cressida, I felt sorry for her because she had no one to help her, all by herself with horrible parents, living hell at home and Eloise abandoning her when she needed her the most. I hope that Cressida gets her happy ending after all🙏 The fact season 4 comes in 2026 is craazy, can’t wait this long!!😭

I don't think ether of them are gay but instead just have a really good friendship and the reason Cressida is being genuinely nice to Eloise is because she was the only person that was truly a good friend to her as Eloise was to pen.

First, I love the theory that someone commented about how they pictured all or most of the Bridgertons as bi because they all have qualities you can experiment with in the writing. I always pictured Eloise as gay because she rebels against the rules of society and one final form of it is going outside the mold snd finding a girlfriend. But some say they picture her as bi which also makes sense because Eloise is mainly looking for someone that suits her whether through her intelligence or her values.

This was my favourite relationship/friendship this season. I really didn’t understand why they would be friends with each other but I really got it in the last few episodes.

There is also a critical point of this theory. In the show, the newest season, season 3; *Why would the story be revolving around Cressida now? Cressida is starting to come into the story more, and more. But why? Maybe because she will become a crucial figure for one of the Bridgertons (Maybe Eloise Bridgerton may have a special connection to Cressida)*

What is this "Instead of"? There is also aswell they can both be lgbt+ Ben can be Bi or Pan that's also valid

I want Eloise with footman John. He is also the one to have delivered a letter to Eloise in Season 2 saying 'you want to read this'. Also he seems handsome and well built.

I think their friendship will make them both grow. But it won’t go further. Eloise is pretty much destined to end up with Sir Philip. I’m honestly not excited about that though.

Second, thanks to fan fic and one video, it is amazing how some of us shipped Eloise and her footman which can still be part of a good arc for Eloise. Everytime he came on screen (the five seconds) this season, I wanted Eloise to follow him out and talk to him or something. That is a side plot I wouldn’t mind watching. So half of me wants Eloise with a woman and half of me wants her footman john.

Claudia Jessie and Luke Newton answered some questions during this season press tour and when asked whose character undergoes the most important events this season Claudia's first answer was acutally Eloise. I found it really odd and now I think this might be it. I'm soooo excited

There's nothing redemptive in Cressida this season. Despite the attempt to soften her by showing the viewers how oppressing her parents are and while she herself admits that the marriage mart pits women against each other, she nevertheless continues to bully other women, particularly Penelope. Moreover, during the ball in the fourth episode, when Eloise talks about her opinions, Cressida barely pays attention. Some friend. She is as self-centered as she'd always been. She is beyond redemption.

I fully admit that I was on the Benedict Gay Train for the last two seasons for exactly the reasons laid out here. Or at least that he would be bi or pan. Having not read the book series, I'm unaware of what is in store for the characters and how far from the source material the producers are willing to deviate. This video actually helps to clear some of that up. You make an excellent case for Creloise!!! ❤

The Brimsley- Reynolds relationship a heartbreaking ending. Where was the joy? I'd be fine with Benedict and Eloise being queer. It would also be lovely bc of how close they are, for them to later learn they have that in common. I would just be shocked if they deviated that far from the source material. Although from what I understand about said source material, and what they already did to deviate from it with the Marina/ Crane Bros. plot line, there's definitely room, and her story as originally written is the least interesting or compelling to me. She marries a guy with kids from a conventional loveless marriage of the era and aristocracy. Benedict's premise I am more attached to bc he breaks the class barrier which I would be sad to see go.

As a queer, I dont want this. I love seeing intimate but platonic same sex relationships. Thats why I love Eloise and Penelope's friendship. Im glad we get to see this type of relationship expand to include someone who I never saw myself liking (Cressida). I also love how Eloise and Cressida's relationship both humanizes and softens both of them. Both ladies are going to grow as and into real people b/c of this relationship. While I love Eloise (and honestly would want a daughter like her) she was insufferable in the early seasons b/c her desire to reject society made her inconsiderate of her one true friendship.Eloise's relationship with Cressida is good for everyone involved. PS: I didnt know that I wanted a Benedicte story so bad but after seeing him with ole girl Im 1000% in. Mama takes no prisoners and we LOVE that. Benedicte needs a real woman to make him a man!

I would be disappointed if Eloise end up with Sir Philip. Not every female have to get married and take care of children. If the show isn't suppose to be historically accurate, I don't see why it should stick to the books as book Eloise and show Eloise aren't really the same character.

If they end up together, I hope it ends. 😂 Lord Debling would be a good loophole for the two of them to keep seeing each other as he’ll be traveling for 3 years. However, I’m ready for Eloise to get with Sir Phillip. Maybe he’ll be the reason they stop their alleged love affair if we see more of it in the future. Another theory I have is maybe Eloise will be mad at Cressida for pretending to be Lady Whistledown since Pen has built herself up and wouldn’t like Cressida taking that away from her. Maybe that might be an olive branch of Pen and Eloise rekindling their friendship.

Ok bean master here on the analysis. So in the teaser it is seen that Cressida says that she’ll do anything for the reward in turning in lady Whistledown. (Spoilers) in the books Cressida steps forward claiming that she is Lady Whistledown, but it would make no sense as to why would she would turn “herself” in for money when the true Lady Whistledown would be punished, not rewarded. My theory is that in some way Cressida will find out who the true identity of the writer is. And knowing that Penelope means a lot to Eloise she will try to help protect them. Likewise I’m spouting absolute nonsense, but rewatching a lot of the scenes, why would they have so much development for Cress and throw all of it out of the window?

I mean....the whole series follows the books so they won't make them gay. I wanted Benedict to be bi and i thought he was, because the show made me believe he is bi, but if they follow the book they will make him love a woman for example, and Eloise is not gay in the books. But they showed us her husband in season 2 , who *SPOILEEEEEEEEER* is the husband of lady Marina Thomson who was pregnant with his brother's child. But somehow, they made these 2 be together. Maybe they will change it??

While I would love for this to become true (or for Benedict to have a male love intetest), i don't think it's going to happen. I think the showrunners will opt for one of the side characters to give them the gay storyline and will be too cowardly to do it with one of the main characters

here’s another key detail. Cressida and Pen fighting over lord debling was our visual representation of their internal fight over Eloise’s time and attention. But for different reasons just like lord debling. The dueling dynamics of that are almost enough to give away their planned plot. But clever enough to keep us guessing and thinking hmm maybe it was a coincidence. I think not though. It seemed way too calculated of a scene to have just been ab ladies bantering over a man. Pen wants her friend back and Cressida is totally jealous of that and her attempts at courting Debling

OK read the books but it never really made sense. I thought her story should be her trying to get into a school learning. But I like this way to it's dif from the books but in a good way.

The thing is, the stars and show runners teased that there would be more lgbt representation/relationships. So, that leaves me wondering if we might get that with one of the Bridgerton children. Cressida is strong willed, selfish and lonely. Eloise is strong willed, a black sheep and a good friend... It would take someone strong like Eloise to tolerate Cressida's rough edges long enough to forge a true friendship. If they turn out to be lesbians, so be it. However, I saw 2 women becoming unlikely friends because they have so much in common, regardless of their differences. That would make more for a far more interesting story, than them becoming lovers, as female competitors can actually still compete while ending up becoming true friends.

Early on, I actually was hoping one of the Featherington girls or a couple of the 'boys' in the society would have a queer romance in at least the same level of spotlight as the Mondriches have. I even thought for a second that Marina was only sent to the Featheringtons for a lavender marriage. Only time will tell if the higher ups would think a gay lead Bridgerton couple would be financially advantageous, especially nowadays and the demographics of the books' fanbase. It might be financially safer for them to have Eloise experience the freedom she wants in the route of women's rights and access to 'men-only' professions. Sadly, my hunch is the best we'll get is a side story a la Brimsley and Reynolds (their story would make a good spinoff tbh) or a gay romance but only as a detour of some sort to the main lead a la Benedict.

I think this may be half right. I think Cressida may be a gay character, but Eloise will not feel the same and instead may be an ally and confidant. This way there can be a strong gay character, while leaving the main romances intact. Marrying Debling, may give Cressida the space she needs to explore her true self.
