He didn’t claim “she” was dead. He claimed that his son Xavier was dead.

I too have been devastated since my only, 17 year old grandson, 3 years ago, told me that he is trans. Since then I am living proof how deep the sorrow and greiving has been because it is a death….a death of the person I once knew and loved. The person has died because they are mentally, behaviorally and physically NOT the same person. Just like a death, the family dynamics have changed, along with plans about the future. It is not surprising Elon’s trans child bashes his father for sharing his own heartfelt thoughts and feelings openly and honestly which seems to me is more than his trans son is capable of doing.

I actually do feel for Elon though. As someone in the LGBTQ community with an unsupportive mother, there is a better way of approaching this situation. Elon's child approached this with absolutely zero empathy. I would never publicly shame my family members for grieving something they do not understand. The only reason my mom and I are starting to see more eye to eye is because I have had multiple conversations with her from a point of empathy. The thing I hate about the LGBTQ community now is just how quick we are to normalize hostile, vile behaviour: behaviour even kindergarteners are taught is harsh and unnecessary. We are behaving more and more like children and failing to allow conversation to take place. I don't know what these people went through, but behaving this was certainly gets you nowhere. Even if Elon's child wanted to separate from Elon, there is much more respectful ways to do so. This is just embarrassing.
