It's all relative, people thought this when the match was invented because they were so used to rubbing flint and steel together. It revolutionized our lives in a positive way though. Choosing fear over excitement is never a good idea in my experience.
I would build one for myself but wouldn’t sell them , I don’t like the idea of mass androids taking over a big part of the work force , in which some already do .

The domestic kind will almost surely have hardware but most importantly software limitations to prevent these interactions. Unless you’re talking about some “jailbroken” robot, in which case it’s a whole other argument.

Mind-blowing might be a bit of an exaggeration. My $40 Google speaker can do that. I'd be pretty disappointed if an advanced, brand new robot, couldn't do something that your average smart speaker has been doing for years.

It's 60Kg and that's being moved around before it even does any actual work. And it's not on wheels. What sort of battery can do that?
@@johnChan-ho8kz The Boston Dynamics Atlas used a 3.7kWh battery and lasted about one hour whilst doing various tasks. The Tesla is supposedly 3.2kWh but a bit lighter. One charge per hour work. But dude expects one charge for twelve hours! lol

I don’t think people are ready for humanoid robots like Optimus in their daily lives. It might be too soon for this kind of technology to become mainstream.
I love the idea of customizing the personality of a robot like Optimus! It would be so cool to have a robot that understands your preferences and adapts to you.
