One thing: the moral statement on having to go to work is a bs argument and I cannot imagine him coming with that. In his opinion everything should be compensated through money - also the convenience of staying home to work or the hassle of travelling to a hospital. Fact is every job is different. Does he want to stand behind my desk because a guard never sits? Its absurd and below his level.

@@SPDLand Maybe. For some individuals working from home would benefit the company, but for a lot of others not. They do the laundry, take care of the kids, do groceries during work time. The thing to consider is: if I agree to some people to work from home, because it is actually good, you get in a dilemma to tell others no. Or you allow it broadly and for sure people misuse it. His opinion is, better no one at all. I totally agree with you btw. that the moral argument is not very strong. I do believe that the way he works; start up like need the team to be together to be able to bounce ideas of each other effectively. In the case of X, that is a personally owned company. It literally is his, so his rules apply.
