I disagree about Africa. Going electric can = 100% off grid. You will never ever produce gas on your property. How ever you can produce electricity on your own property via solar and wind. Battery storage breakthroughs like this will actually reduce the need for a power grid anyways. Less I have to give to big oil the better.

Hydrogen cars need a battery aside from the fact battery technology gets better but both car types will have to have the market in different vehicles hydrogen is better in ships. Also getting energy is more efficient with the 7 ways we have of getting clean energy.

Batteries, overpromise and under deliver. The needle has barely moved on EV battery range for years. EVs will have to show real world 400 -500 mile range with fast charging and without huge weight increases for greater adoption.
