Literally watched Elro's warm-up sessions this morning, thought he was a great lyricist and hilarious - playing on a white guy inbetweeners type vibe. Then just listened to this and hit me hard. This kid is real; straight up bared his sole on this track. Never heard someone so eloquently put into words what it feels like and the actions to cope, "then I have four pints, and everything seems fine" , "I'm ashamed that I drink so much, it's the only way I ever feel alive". The nightmares, and waking to feel like reality's worse. Then the apologies to people he feels he's let down or pissed off. Can tell he's really been there and is living with these things inside - it will really connect with and even help a lot of people.
