Hello. I fixed it! I start sorry for my English. My els pet litter have the same problem. Door not close for cleaning. Problem is small pcb. If door engine functioning normally (not damage) but door not close, has to open the back, screwdriver + unscrew the door, engine and pcb. In pcb they are located two switch sensors. These to needs to be checked. If it works no put it back! Sensor "close door" has malfunction. Open it softly, clean it and bend the contact. Later all pcb are solder. This is it. I have the els pet for 1.5 year before the problem occurred. Two weeks have passed since the repair and everything is fine. Good luck!
Also I got this machine for my cat, but it's got a big problem. If any pee gets on the side, it leaks, making a mess on the floor. Cleaning it is a constant headache. Plus, their customer service is terrible. They take forever to respond to emails. And to top it off, they charge a crazy $140 to return the item. It's just been a frustrating and regrettable purchase overall.
Litter must stand on hard floor, no carpet or anything! Ones a week you must grab it shovel. Cat's best smart pellets is the best if you cut 2, 4, 6,.... Teeth on rake. Good luck!
Hello everyone. My litter box works great from my repair all the time. This box is the best on the world, but you have understand how it works. Box "see" the door is close when the door is open > switch damage. You need repair / exchange the door switch. In els pet you tube channel shows how to fix this switch and more. Come check this. However if you want to repair the switch you have to knowledge electronics. Switch is only switch. There is or there is no connection.

Trzeba wyczyścić całą kuwetę dokładnie i dokładnie ją złożyć. Kuweta nie może stać na żadnym dywanie ani czymś podobnym. Musi stać na twardej powierzchni równo. Ma to wpływ na działanie. Żeby naprawić czujnik od drzwi, trzeba go wyjąć, i miernikiem sprawdzić czy jest ciągłość obwodu. Na tej płytce są dwa czujniki. Trzeba je rozebrać bardzo delikatnie, wyczyścić alkoholem izopropylowym, podgiąć jej styki, żeby mocniej odpychały czujnik I przelutować same czujniki na płytce żeby uniknąć tak zwanych zimnych lutów. To wszystko. Wystarczy poskładać. Odkąd tak zrobiłem wszystko jest ok. Jeżeli chodzi o tuning. Polecam wyjąć grabie i ułamać co drugi ząb. Taki zabieg pozwoli nam na używanie żwirku Cat's best smart pellets który na oryginalnych grabiach jest za gruby. Sama kuweta też na tym zyska, silniki będą miały łatwiej czesać żwirek, co wydłuży ich żywotność.
The door is supposed to close before the rake cycle begins and then pop back open once it is finished. The litter box in this video is a malfunctioning.
Mine was doing the same thing. I believe your door switch is bad. There’s a video on here that shows how to replace them. I ordered one for about $30 and replaced it. I haven’t had a issue since then. It seems like the new one has a better design. I would post the link. But, it won’t allow me to do so. If you Google ELS pet litter box accessories. You can find it. It does seem like there are two different Websites. I’m not sure if one is fake or what. The one I ordered from has a bunch of different options of accessories. The door switch was towards the bottom of the list though. if anyone is in the Chicago area suburbs, I could actually help them. I know how frustrating it is!
Oh I forgot. Litter box must stand on hard floor. Do not put any carpet under the box step! This solution may cause abnormalities functioning. Also the sensors in the box dirt not functioning correctly. Clean in. Sensors at the top, may have a problem with the garbage bag. There can be no obstacles along the way from one to the other one sensors. In my box i'be cut the 2,4,6... Claw for wooden cats best pellets. They are too big for original claws. Hey, I have the following problem. I can't get the litter box cleaned either in manual mode using the button on the side or in automatic mode. When I press the cleaning button there is just a two-time beep and that's it, when I reset, the door closes and then opens again immediately without moving the rake. Thank you very much for your help
@@endriuck1143 Thanks for your fast reply, The LED is blue shining until i reset the box then the door closes and the led ring is green for abot two seconds then the door opens up again and start with th UV sterilisation.
