This is one of the most beautiful videos out there. Such calm, love and respect for our Mother Nature. I too paint mandalas and I understand completely about not doing requests. I have to "feel" a connection with my canvas and that can only happen in silence and being thankful. I love your painted tablecloth, well, actually, everything about your room is perfect. PLEASE do more videos. This really has lifted my spirits today, just when I needed it most. Thank You my Dear. Namaste. 🙏🏻💜😊
I love your MANDALA stone for a while now, & few days ago, i discovered who u are...& knowing u & how u make all those stones in GEMS makes me love them even more & also fall in love with you & your personality. Thank you for make such blessings to the world with what THE WORLD PRODUCES FOR ALL OF US. GOD BLESS YOU & MATHER EARTH KEEPS YOU BLESSED. xoxo.
I was cooking and watching and you are made for the camera, your clear, you explain, your very true to your work. thank you for your little piece of heaven...
At last I found you! The first time I saw one of your stones was three years ago, shared by a very good friend, loved what I saw, but clean forgot about it, until I was on a pebble beach in Southern France, last year in October, with my mom and thought about yourself especially again. I was fortunate to go back to that beach in August, picked up some stones and thought I'd give it a try to paint them. I didn't know that it was called Mandala, what paints to use, nor which tools to use. With a bit of research on RU-vid I found some tutorials and since have painted 30 stones, yet not one has had the same 'spark' yours have. Now I realize that your inspiration doesn't just come from painting, but rather from getting in touch with the soul of the stone and bringing out what comes from within. Thank you for this blessing! Looking forward to learning more from you.
I really love the fact that you honor the stone. Everything you say in your process resonates with me. Your pieces are the most beautiful out there. Unfortunately, I have never managed to get one because you have run out. It's been a few years. But I feel that when the time is right, I shall succeed. Thank you for creating such beauty.
I LOVE that u 'dare' say...the stone speaks and tells you what IT wants. More than 30 years ago, I painted rocks..they spoke to me, after a time.. I stopped. And thought, "crazy" ..... thank you for sharing.
Elspeth, you are so lovely and your energy is beautiful, and that's why your creations attract so many people. The amount of copycats that has sprung up from your success is mind blowing, but it literally feeds other artists, so it's very generous... Thanks for this video, and the music in it is really nice too. Love your art journey, thank you for sharing it with us.
I can't believe you're able to do all that with a paint brush. I recently became interested in in painting mandalas. I see everyone using special tools etc. You are very talented. I wish I had an art room like yours. So beautiful and serene.
Elspeth McLean I see your process allso the number of times your followers have asked you about the type and brands of paints, primers, and top coats or sealers you use to create the raised dots on the stones? Also the colors that work best for you and types, angled., fine tipped round, or exactly what paint brushes you use? I paint using acrylics on cards, canvas and stones for my garden. These ppl most likely paint. But I won't give my opinion on the supplies, I believe you owe them an answer unless I missed it 50 msgs down. Your work is beautiful and inspiring but I'm curious to see if I'm right about the method used with the paint? Please answer the questions when you can. Take care
Kerri Morris she doesn't owe anyone an answer, how rude. HOWEVER since she is a passionate artist and loves the process and much as the rest of us, she has already provided this information on the FAQ on her website.... like it says in her description. It tells you what tools she uses and how she creates her work. This is rather kind of her considering this is her livelihood, show some respect instead of demanding answers she is in no way required to answer.
Simply exquisite. I've been picking up stones the last few months, not really knowing what to do with them but thinking about painting them and then someone posted one of your videos on FB and I was so 'lit up' to see someone already doing this and so beautifully too. What an inspiration to get creative, thank you! xx
Shout out to the video people. Very nice. The cuts were excellent and held interest very well. One of those things if you do it right, nobody notices. Props from me!
Ta Very Muchski for teaching these techniques, You're a Beautiful Soul and I Truely Thank you from the bottom of my Heart for your Awesomeness !!!!! :D
Hello Elspeth, just wanted to thank you for bringing so much beauty and inspiration into the world around you. I just saw your video, and my heart opened up to so much creativity that I am almost overcome with joy at the inspiration you have given me. I paint model figures for people, indulge in creative recycling (making fairy houses/castles out of junk etc) and teach others who ask me how to do the same. I'd never seen mandalas painted on stones before, even though I've worked with stone painting for many years, and am now definitely going to go to the beach and mountains nearby, and hopefully they will offer me up their own stones for my new found interest. Walk in beauty, Elspeth, and please don't ever stop making your sensational, inspiring and sacred videos. Paul (AKA Crystal Warrior)
Aww, thanx so much for sharing this, Elspeth! I really like the way you honor the stones/nature, I very much "feel" my way through my Mandalas exactly the same way! And I really believe that these images are sacred and have healing qualities, and that the stones (in your case) feel blessed to be treated with such respect and love.... it is good to see how there are others who also connect so completely with the beautiful and amazing nature all around us!
You are so delightful and I fell in love with your stones without even knowing what a beautiful soul you were ...! Your love of nature and life and color sparkle from inside your heart! Love to you, I'm happy the world has found you. Don't ever ever ever let anyone out in the world hurt you with unkindness or meanness. Just send them off and out of your life with love and a wish for patience. The right wonderful people will make up for anyone who has not been a good energy toward you.
I have always been so intrigued by you and your process. I tried this on my own, then attempted to replicate you, but woefully, LOL. I haven't given up, tho! Thank you, so very much, for sharing your process, such a personal part of yourself. Honestly, I truly feel blessed. Painting stones in this reverent way is and always was my intention. You've helped me on my journey more than you know and I am incredibly grateful. Bless you, Sweet Lady. Your artistry and kindness are speaking loudly! You are touching so many with your beautiful art. Namaste💖
I was so happy to see you post another video! I'm so inspired and have started to paint like this. It's my favorite thing to do in my free time. Love your artwork :)
Trabalho Muito bonito!!! Totalmente diferente e inovador em termos de pintura decorativa! Estás de parabéns e espero que a sua arte se torna em um símbolo de reconhecimento mundial!!!
I love your art. this is a beautiful beautiful piece. thank you so much for sharing.. I can't wait to try to make my first mandala stone. I have a few stones that I have collected at different times.. thank you. your art work is Awesome!
What a peaceful environment to inspire your creativity. You have inspired me to declutter and beautify my work area. Along with giving mandalas a try. I worked with acrylics years ago so I know some about their qualities. However, I only used the cheap low quality liquids in the past where as now I would like to step up my game and use better quality acrylics. Being new to rock painting I have noticed that the cheap paints just don't keep their form, vibrancy, and finish as well as I would like them to on the rocks. Since there isn't a lot of pigment in them they tend not to be very opaque and require more coats which means more time. I have a very limited budget at the moment and I would very much appreciate getting the right paints the first time out. I don't want to waste money or time on purchasing tube acrylics that are not going to get the job done as well as others would. I have read your FAQ's on your website. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. :) You stated that any brand will do the job if you get the consistency correct. That is good news! I can see that you use tube acrylics where as I had only ever used bottles. So that should make a big difference with being able to make the dots more prominent. May I ask what quality or grade of paints you use? (Artist, craft, or student) Would you suggest heavy body/high viscosity or soft body/medium viscosity acrylics to get the nice 3D effect on the dots? Thank you again for sharing your beautiful studio and your creative process. I hope to hear back form you soon so I can so SHOPPING!! I love shopping. but not as much as I do creating art. Be a wonderful day. :)
Elspeth McLean neat job on your dots technique. Might as well give it a second chance, like I did with a few papier-mache bangles not too long ago. Post some more of your own tutorials so I can learn to use your dotting technique the right way for my projects, please. Thank you & God bless.
You are such a lovely and gentle soul💜 your art reflects the inner beauty you carry and the sacred honoring you hold throughout the whole process starting from finding the stones you work with. The fact that you do not take custom orders is absolutely wonderful. Intuitive/sacred art is a gift from that connection to the thread that connects all. Namaste🌈
Your video has inspired me to paint. Your rocks and painting are so beautiful. What of paint and brushes do you use? Would consider making a video to teach your technique?
so beautiful. your such an amazing person. I'd love to meet you. I love your work. I've painted rocks before with spots and know how hard it can be and I love the respect with nature you bring. just wanting to say have a wonderful day and thank you :)
