This setup makes me think Elspeth would benefit from Allying with a race that has a really robust frontline unit to recruit, like Dwarven Ironbreakers or something, to do a good job holding enemy infantry in place and letting her gunners/artillery do their work in peace.
My current campaign i have no melee inf in her army. Just heroes, steam tanks, gunners, arty and 2 units of black rose knights. I treat her like an ikit claw weapons team army, ie cause lots of havoc with the tankd and kill everything before it gets even close to me. Amethyst ironsides act as the closest thing to i have a front line but nothing ever gets close

I think I found my Empire faction, having enough gunpowder to rival Ikit for large armies of guns and war machines. The Landship and Steam Tank (Volley Gun) are definitely my favorite of the new units. I'm gonna love using them in my armies.
oooooh....This is gonna be awesome. As a crazy Irishman that will use any excuse for more firepower and explosion's I am extremely happy with this dlc. I'll be honest, the three units I'm most excited to play around with are the Hotchland long rifles, the Nuln ironsides, and the steam tank with a volley gun. Chaos ain't gonna be doing much when I make 60% of the air they breath hot lead >:)
I'm sure mods will add them back in Day 1. I just hope all the mechanics and buffs will still work on them. We have the rifle assets already, but I hope the sound effects are cool and unique and don't just sound like Ratling Guns.
Outta all new units that i really love ❤️ its designs and pupose is definitely the new empire's melee cavalry units "knights of the black rose 🌹 " At 11:41 however biggest disappointment is that they don't have "causes fear" passive despite their amazing grimdark designs. Regardless i still love their designs and their purpose as tanky melee cavalry units designs to hold on the frontline. I will be absolutely using them on any empire's faction ❤😀
If they comeback, which I really hope they do, it will come in a DLC, probably on the possible Ulric themed DLC. Or *maybe* , and this is a huge maybe, we get it as a FLC unit. We can only hope 😔
This Lord really didnt look all that interesting, until I have seen the vids about her. Now I might just play her first. P.S. Gratz on the CA backing. Don't trust them as a partner though. Use them and toss them aside when their upper management gets out of control.

Is there fixed limit to how many Amethyst units you can recruit? Or can you increase the unit cap similar to the chaos dwarf hell forge mechanic? Or can you recruit as many as you like?
It kinda became a thunderdome for me once karl got his teeth kicked in by the undead, festus and then wulfrik. plus throt and ickit came in hot for the empire too, the end times indeed
seems like the whole campaign depends on karl franz tbh. For me reikland stomped out all his enemies so i was free to basically walk around and do whatever i wanted without fearing invasions
The remind me I managed to run out of ammo with the infinite ammo rattling guns it was one of those battles that everything went wrong for both sides and it went on way longer than it should have But they can run out eventually.
Is there a known bug with Bjuna Bombard? I've used it twice in my campaign with no effect and no animation besides the AI trying to dodge+ the area its supposed to be in.
Infinite ammo ratling guns are kind of overrated imo. I would much rather have a hailstorm battery with a LOT MORE rockets 😂 Also watching grapeshot cannons delete skaven is another kind of fun
That brings us to roughly 16% total female Legendary Lords in the game. If that's a real concern for you... I dunno go out and touch... or ideally eat, some grass.
i think we might be playing different lords. even with all her unique gear and some pretty solid subs my elspeth was paper thin from start to finish. she even struggled hard against basic units with some a meat walls in front of her. hada relegate her to eating crisps in the back cause if she got hit by a stiff breeze she'd lose half hp
How the fuck do you consistantly ignore or skip past important details like with Wonder of the Age or Elspeth's default ability? Ffs, litterally the worst person to sponsor when every other TWWH youtuber has drastically higher quality content
