One of the things I've always loved about Elton, going back to the '70s, is that he NEVER hesitates to give credit and appreciation to other musicians. It's been like that all along the way. He listens with an eager mind. He's so great.
elton is a genius so is bernie...i love those guys...i love the albums...i miss dee murray...and the moderator she is lovely...what a beautiful person she is...she radiates and connected well with elton...i wish him and his family happiness and health....LONG LIVE EJ
I think it's interesting that Elton listens to so much modern music. So many people who are his fans along with fans of stuff I like such as Fleetwood Mac or Billy Joel go around saying 'all the music today is crap, they don't make real music anymore.' If it's good enough for Elton it's probably not that bad. I recommend an album called "New Demons" from just a year or two ago which is in the electronicore genre (metalcore with more synths)
The most enjoyable interview I've seen in a long time. I'm not a music buff so I didn't follow all the references to various artists, but just listening to EJ talk when he's not being rushed, or being asked stupid questions, is such a pleasure. The question about what advice you'd give to young artists... He's probably been asked that question thousands of times, but you'd never know it by how enthusiastically and graciously he answered it. Absolutely love EJ.
Regarding the lyrics, interesting that he continues to forget that he contributed to the final verse of Border song, perhaps he doesn't want to take the credit? For that and 'I've been Loving You'
Can someone tell me what is the name of the group and the name of the album he is talking about at the beginning of the interview as I cannot figure out the spelling of it ? Thanks you for your help.
