I'm Still Standing is a song by Elton John, written by himself and Bernie Taupin and released in 1983 on the album "Too Low for Zero". It is a punchy and steady song with an interplay between B-flat major and B-flat minor. John called "I'm Still Standing" his "reaction to still being relevant and successful in the early 1980s, post-punk and with the New Romantics creeping in." Bravo! FANTASTIC JOB! This is my favorite song of all time, and when I heard "You hide behind the wreck behind that mask you use" at 0:23, I felt like that part was so conducive to a situation where a guy is playing that in front of crowd, his friends looking on, and he is triumphant over life in the biggest way possible and he knows it. My gosh. That part was great. The whole song was awesomely-played too. And the chorus? DAMN that was good! You did my favorite song of all time justice in the best way you could ever have.. Phenomenally done!
