.... man .... I'm an old dude, and in the day that song was my life, lost in space after the war .... you really did do that song justice, and then some ..... you got a gift !
I'm a musician, a father, the last left of 3 siblings a man who had woman for 8 years, now another man has her and lastly a 13 bravo field artillery specialist in the US Army I sit here missing everything I have and had. I miss my guitar more than I realized I would, been playing since 13. 34 now And I just want to say thank you for this, I had no idea what I was gonna find when I looked for acoustic rocketman. Excellent version.
I find myself coming back to this song, every once in a while, to hear music sang/played right. Music needs heart/soul and this version has it in massive amounts, especially him putting the Major Tom spin at the end.
Surfing around looking for versions of this song to learn. After watching this I decided to look for another song, this one was perfect, can't be duplicated. awesome.
I saw Angie Aparo perform this live in Atlanta in 2001-ish. He appeared on stage with June Carter Cash, Don McLean, and Ed McCain. The whole set was mesmerizing, but the standouts of the night were McLean's Vincent and Aparo's Rocket Man, which is a song I close my eyes when I listen to. It fills you as it moves through you when you remove sight from the equation. Anyways, thanks for this. It's excellent work.
Best cover I’ve ever heard of this song which is my all time favorite song. You get it. The second verse on Elton’s version slows down and you feel and hear the loneliness in that verse. On other people’s cover they often miss that but you nailed it and even did the same thing in the first verse which gave it more of melancholy feel than even the original. Very nice! ❤
YEah bro, it's been 7 years ago since you posted that right? Well,.... It's STILL an asskick sideways!! AS IN IT ROCKS!! One of the best guitar cover's I've YET to hear As a fellow giittaarr strummer & picker, I feel very close to this song, my Uncle who passed away recently got me into Elton's 🎶 music WAAYYY BACK in the late '70's when I was a pimple on a butt!! 😱 Great cover my man, hope your doing well and still playing 🎸 geetar in 2021!!!!!..... Peace!!!
WOW !! simply great! And a good idea mixing david bowie´s lyrics in the end :-) This song is a life-long top five song for me and therefore I am delighted when a cover is well made - such as yours!
I came accross this accoustic version of the classic and instantly got goosebumps, an amazing emotional version sang and played so easily. Big well done David.
David DiMuzio I have been listning to your songs man but I'd not heard that one but instantly like it. I really like the accoustic ballad songs, must just be the romantic in me I suppose. Also read the story behind it and ouch!! certainly been there....... been using a tutorial of yours to get a grip of the chords for some tracks to help me get a grip of my Guitar again, they are helping me so cheers for that man. Tell you this, if you had an album with all ballad accoustic songs (covers included) I would buy it! :)
“Yo, Adrian!” 🥊 I really enjoy watching covers and yours is probably one of my favorite covers of ANY song I’ve heard so far. Great voice and great guitar playing. I’ve watched it multiple times and will come back to watch it again. Great job!
You have such a fantastic talent. Great voice. This is one of my all time favorite songs. Thanks for your rendition. I have been a fan for quite a while. I am putting this version on my MP3 player in the car :)
