I've always been curious about the drumming on this track for years. How in the world did Nigel Olsson get that sort of slightly off kilter sound to his drums...reverb or something...?
Definitely reverb...not sure which type or what else they did to the drums other than have very loose heads on them. Gus Dudgeon also apparently used a lot of mics on the drums

Absolutely amazing. What I would give to have the talent to have this ear and rhythm. I’d be broke and happy because I’d spend all day playing, but that would be okay too. Thanks for sharing brother, never forget that that is a gift from God.
