I love ❤️ merci pour ce magnifique cadeau merci sir Elton tu es le meilleur dieu du piano 🎹🎹 merci pour ces belles chansons ces concerts innombrables love ❤️💞💞💞💞💞💞
a great tune. Have never been a big fan until I saw him in concert. He has a catalogue that stands up with any and all of the great songwriters of any era. Monstrously talented.
bernie is amazing .. how many lyrics from him i wish i could have written.. his words put you right there in that thought, laser sharp cuts through all the bullshit .. but elton would have still been a musical legend either way
I lost a best friend who i loved with all my heart to killers in Winnipeg. He sent for me to get him but i didn't get him in time. We had faith n were praying but i wont see him til Heaven. My heart is so heavy and this song captures my pain... and probably my favorite EJ song ever.
Songs from the Westcoast, is (imo) the only Elton album that even remotely compares to his prime of the early to mid-70's. There are good songs sprinkled through the 80's and 90's in his career, but most of his GREAT work is in his twenties.
@ThePhenomOfDarkness Actually credit must go to Bernie Taupin for the lyrics. Elton writes the music, Bernie writes the lyrics - great partnership! :0)
Songs aren't always meant to be taken literally. I am sure Elton still loves his old songs. I mean, would you call "Rocket Man" fake because he isn't actually an astronaut?
Yeah i know this song isn't about rockets. I was making a comparison. If thats what the song means to you, super, no one can tell you thats wrong, since its your interpretation. However, i don't think its wrong to suggest perhaps a different one, since Elton still tours almost all the time, and performs all his older stuff. If he didn't like his old career he could easily rest on his laurels
So? Lots of bands have monitors near them with the words on... Just in case you have a brainfart onstage and forget the lyrics it's good to have them around.
When you make a statement that references two parties, then follow it up with a general statement about one of the parties, the said statement automatically refers to the second party because the general statement neglects to identify which party it refers to. You just, in essence, referred to yourself as a "SAD SAD SAD LONELY BOY." I actually would agree. Here you are, nearly a week later, still hung up on some RU-vid comment. Get a hobby. Just avoid spelling bees; you won't stand a chance.
