I always struggle with the idea that Gaulish is extinct because the Breton language still spoken today is also a Celtic language like Gaulish. Bretons and Gauls will have understood each other better than with the Gaulish-speaking Celts in Anatolia or the Balkans. However, linguists make a distinction between the Celtic language in Ireland / UK / Brittany and that on the rest of the mainland. As already mentioned, this is one half of Eluveitie. The U is silent so it is pronounced EL-Vay-Tee. I picked this song for you because it is a softer sound for them, a lot of their music the guy playing the tin whistle sings and he uses "growling" which does not appeal to some people( I like it, but not sure you would).
