I always struggle with the idea that Gaulish is extinct because the Breton language still spoken today is also a Celtic language like Gaulish. Bretons and Gauls will have understood each other better than with the Gaulish-speaking Celts in Anatolia or the Balkans. However, linguists make a distinction between the Celtic language in Ireland / UK / Brittany and that on the rest of the mainland. As already mentioned, this is one half of Eluveitie. Founder and mastermind Christian “Chrigel” Glanzmann wants to combine this style and metal growls. It worked perfectly here: ELUVEITIE - Aidus (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) After Anna left in a dispute, she founded a prog metal band with her Hurdy Gurdy and that makes her one of the most successful hurdy-gurdy players: CELLAR DARLING - Avalanche (OFFICIAL VIDEO) Her successor on the hurdy-gurdy also left the band and now makes symphonic metal: LYRRE - Valley of Tears (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) Only Patty Gurdy is more successful than Anna. Today she plays Celtic Pop Folk. In fact, she also comes from metal and often works with metal bands: ALESTORM ft. PATTY GURDY - Voyage Of The Dead Marauder (Official Video) | Napalm Records

The U is silent so it is pronounced EL-Vay-Tee. I picked this song for you because it is a softer sound for them, a lot of their music the guy playing the tin whistle sings and he uses "growling" which does not appeal to some people( I like it, but not sure you would). If you would like to check out more from them, try their song "Epona". Again she sings and the song is beautiful. As I said, I was not in a rush and I am glad you got to it and glad you enjoyed it. They are from Switzerland and very Celtic so the songs have that flavor. Again thank you for this great reaction😊

@@djno-jreacts Sorry, the song is called "A rose for Epona". Their new female singer sings Epona and it is sung in the dead language of Gaulish
