I’m 51 and as a kid, I remember the day Elvis passed away. I was on my bicycle at ten years old and I still miss Elvis today. He truly was in my opinion the best at what he did.
And yet unnecessarily shamed and humiliated a regular working citizen who had a responsibility to keep the showroom cars clean. You don't put your hands on the body of a meticulously detailed car, that was Elvis's elitist take on the matter. The guy wasn't trying to insult this 18-year-old know-nothing kid, he was correctly asking him not to put his hands all over the car, and he knew he was with the famous person who came in. I was a car salesman here in LA for a couple of years, then a motorcycle salesman for several more years after that, and I sold vehicles to all sorts of music, TV, and film stars, and they for the most part were all respectful and gracious to the workers in the dealerships. But not pawing up a car in a showroom is New Car Showroom Etiquette 101. So while you''re pathetically worshipping every weird and elitists thing our beloved Elvis did, I'll stick up for the hardworking common man in this instance.
Elvis was an amazing human being and one thing above all that is that he didn't forget his humble beginnings and never took his fans for granted but gave us everything. Thank you for sharing these personal and great memories 😊

Hi guys, I love listening to your stories about Elvis, I've been an Elvis fan since I was 5years old, 61 now and I always feel like I knew him personally, and I knew he would treat all people the same, saw him 3 time's in concert, best times of my life. I was 12 the first time, I couldn't speak, my nickname at school by my teachers was Ms Elvis, I've still got the award tag I got when I graduated from the 6th grade, the principal, said I bet everyone here is going to know who this is and started singing You ain't nothing but a Hound dog, and the whole school started saying Lori Hull, over and over, that's my cute Elvis story. I love that man so much and I actually want my husband to spread my ashes over his grave, if it's allowed. Thank you so much. Lori Sutton TCB 1935🤺🤺🤺🤺💯❤️
I love this story, I'm glad Elvis reacted like he did.He might've opened that salesman's eyes and next time a person came in and they were not all dressed up he might've treated that person kinder.
Billy is right, Elvis never forgot his roots, and sure did love his family. Such great qualities in that man😍 forever missed😢 Fantastic memories billy love listening and watching you all smile & laugh. It’s great.
Such a nice story. No one deserves to be looked down on. I'm glad Elvis heard what was going on. I've loved Elvis since I was 6 years old. Always have always will.
This is why Elvis was so loved. He was a good down to earth southern gentleman. That’s the way my family was raised. Were from Eastern Kentucky and would stand up for anyone being judge in anyway. I haven’t lived there for years put you never forget were you come from. Love this story so much! Thanks for sharing 💕
I am listening to this again & I love this story...Elvis was special & I know he loved all his family. He might of been poor before but he knew what love was . I love listening to Billy & the family's story's. 10-31-21 thank y'all for all the great story's about Elvis .
I am on hospice, and watching Elvis and listening to you'll talk about him as a human being and not just person on a screen, makes me feel closer to him,and I am a fan of all of you ,billy is so funny,
Fantastic story guys..it's such a pleasure to listen to these great stories..of course I'm laughing and my wife shakes her head because I laugh so loud..then I tell her it's an Elvis story she gets it..want to thank you all so much for these great stories Elvis was one of a kind and you should be very proud to be part of Elvis's life thanks again.
That was a good one. It was evident how he didn't forget about his background and always cared for his young cousin, and was on the side of his family. Good to see and hear that you are all doing well .
Your dad is so sweet and very down to earth. I can see how much he cares about Elvis and his family. He has such class and grace. Your dad reminds me of my dad. He grew up in West Virginia and never forgets where he came from and treats everyone the way he wants to be treated.
Wonderful story, thanks so much for sharing! Love hearing about the character & the love for Elvis’ family that he carried with him! Y’all are a great/loving family, may the Lord bless & keep y’all. Thanks again from a fan in Arkansas!
love the story sir. you all was raised like us here in western and northwestern KY and TN. Never forgot where you are from no nothing people don't know. All DUE-RESPECT. Jerry Holley. Murray Ky
Yes it appeared the love Elvis had for Billy as he should for story after story, interview after interview Billy always shown his humbleness, good heart, loyalty, and love for his older cousin that seemed to be more of a big brother. Billy, Jo, and Danny you have done an outstanding job representing your cousin and we love to hear your accounts of time shared with Elvis. I can imagine how many times Elvis looks down with a smile.
The one good thing that happened to me during the Coronavirus quarantine is that I became an Elvis fan (at 42 years old). I enjoy your videos, especially this one because it shows that the greatest entertainer of the 20th century had a heart.
You know that’s also another way of saying, I love you Billy and no one is going to talk to my family like that. Wait until you see where he lives. Long live the memory of the King !
@MemphisMafiakid "Ur family is a Precious Treasure to ppl like me born n raised in the south!" Thank u for posting n sharing all that u doing here! God bless always :)
famous21me you don't have to be from the south to think the Smiths are precious people. They are good people and Elvis is a part of them. It makes me feel good to watch these videos.
I believe through all Elvis Presley went through a accomplish he still stayed a humble God loving forgiving man that loved the Lord his family friends a fans a never forgot where he came from a who he really was a how he was raised I loved Elvis ever since his King Creole days I believe he was a good soul.
THAT'S why I love Elvis so much. Billy you guys thank you for keeping his beautiful memory alive for us that love and adores him so much. People forget that there was a human inside the entertainer. I love Elvis first and than the entertainer. Billy love you guys so much I wish you good health and that God will always bless you.❤❤❤🕊🕊🕊
What a decent and loyal man he was...we are all the same...such a great example of loyalty morals and decency...what a great lesson in life ...thank y’all for your kindness and your time to share with us all
I hate when people act like that! I treat a homeless person the same i treat anyone else. Some have more money but big deal, that means nothing. The way you treat people says everything! Love the story, thank you.
Thanks Danny! and Thank you Billy for telling that great story. Just proves what I already knew about Elvis. I was able to see him 3 times and he was a phenomenon! I've loved him since I was 9 yers old. Much, much older now but feel just the very same. Always enjoy so much, great stories like that. Sad, happy, or otherwise. Keep em' comin'! You guys are great! ❤
Aww that is a cool story I always give respect to all people no matter rich or poor! Thank you for sharing your memories. Love you guys and hope someday we'll meet.😎 God blessings to you and your family! Also can't wait to see who Wins on 4th of July.🤗
Ahh what a great story! Man I would give anything to have been able to live those years & be around Elvis. Xoxo from an Oklahoma girl. Hope to visit Graceland soon for my 30th bday ;) long live the 👑 ⚡T.C.B.⚡💝
Cool story. Thanks MMK for these great stories for the Elvis fans, ( then and now). From your stories you could tell how much he cared about his family and fans. Elvis was mentioned and his song "In The Ghetto" was partly played last night on "Nash Night Live." The one deejay was saying how she had heard the song and was moved by the words and meaning. Both Deejays said they knew of Elvis growing up but we're never Elvis fans.
A big hello from Illinois Smith family! I just wanted to let you know how much I love your stories , I can't hardly wait until Saturday to hear another one! They just make smile 😃. I've loved Elvis since I was a little girl and I always will.... Live Elvis y'all !
Love your comment Kristi!! That is what FAMILIES use to do! Be there for 1 another & travel together. It seems like family doesnt mean that anymore. Very sad...
Love this story. Similar thing happened to my husband . A sales person in a BMW dealership ignored us because we didn't look the part so my husband went across the road to another dealer ship and bought a BMW from there. Love these Elvis stories.
Wow wat an awesome story , No car salesman should have an attitude or speak to a potential or browsing customer , they may be buying . i love how elvis handled it , and how touching that he looked out for his cousin which is elvis to a T He was always protective of billy. he always looked out for the under dog , very true elvis always remembered where he come from very evident his whole life he was never puffed up , cocky the same his whole life
Thank you very much, I loved this one! Nobody's better than anyone. We're all God's children. But Elvis sure was a special one. Have a great week and God bless you!
Hi folks.absolutely loved Billy story tonight.and Danny and to hear jo behind the scenes.to all us Elvis fans it’s worth more than gold.we can see whole heartedly why Elvis loved you all and why family is so important.Xxx 🇬🇧
What a heartwarming story! I am so sorry for the loss of someone who cared so much about you. But your memories sustain you and thank you for sharing them.
I think it's wonderful that he was so protective of you Billy! I'm sure he'd done the same for a stranger. That's why we love him to this day, his humanity was unsurpassed!
