When I was a kid my Mom would visit various of her friends and customers around our community. She was a seamstress, and if I tagged along, to keep me out of her hair while she was hemming or getting measurements I would be left to my own devises. I found out that everybody seemed to have bunches of 45 RPM's, (just called 45's). so inevitably I would find they're stash and sit for hours listening to music. Thousands and thousands of songs, I couldn't get enough. I was born in 63' and had become an Elvis fan by the late 60's. I didn't care what anybody else liked! I'll be a fan till I die. Danny, I wish I could interview your Dad and Mom and write a book because I think the real down to Earth side has yet to be told. Thanks for what you're doing, Ethan

I love these little interviews, getting to know Elvis and the Family. The Memphis Mafia all lived at Graceland, where did they live at and did there entire Family ‘s all live at Graceland too. I would think the home ran out of Bedrooms.

I'm a musician from Elvis era, same upbringing only my parents were musicians too. We stay up at night because after work, bars close at 2am and liquor stops being served. We would be hungry and eat, then greet other hungry people, then invite over after we discussed that nights performance...WHY DID YOU PLAY THAT CHORD?! ...things like that..then he sun was coming up! I had kids to get to school..I napped for 2 hours, up for breakfast for the kids, off to school, sleep until kids came home, cook dinner...off to work all over again. Eventually I home-schooled. But that's why.

hey memphis mafia kid, I got a question about elvis’s Voice. So to the best of my knowledge, elvis started showing his range of voice in the mid to late 1960s to 1977 with songs like “you’ll never walk alone, American triology , Hurt”.... in the 1950s when elvis was doing 100%rockin roll his voice was good but didn’t show much range ( hit highly notes and lower notes) as he did in tbe 1960s and 1970s. Did elvis always have this range but didn’t get to show it off because he was singing straight rock In roll or was his range developed as he matured and aged?I just have never seen a singer with so much range . He hit notes that were high and he hit them perfect. It is amazing. To listen too.thanks and I love these videos .
I don't know what it was about Elvis but what he had came from inside him he supported a love a kindness of a Good Samartian love that kind of love a light shines a comes through Knowing God a having love a faith in the higer power of heaven ID love to just hung out w him at his rehearsals watching him listening to him sing like a family thing Elvis I believe wanted to spread his love a songs to the world that's what made this sweet remarkable Gorgeous man special. I also believe he was FAVORED by Jesus Christ.

It is great to hear how classy Jo is about Priscilla then and now. In my world family is HUGE and even if we don't see each other often we have mini reunions and always come together in times of crisis and celebrations. Priscilla is constantly in Memphis, she certainly could reach out to Elvis' blood family...I know she hated having the guys around but the Smiths are Lisa's blood relatives and that should count for something
