Bill Morris is a great guy. I have a friend who owns that glass building, Bond Building, right across the street to the north. That old Mercedes building was busy back in the day.

I remember I think it was 1976 my dad bought my mom a new Ford station wagon. I took it for a spin and heard on the radio about a disc jockey ( not George Klein) saying he wished Elvis would buy him a car. Elvis called the disc jockey and yes, bought him a car!

Ahhh, there is nothing like a Mercedes Benz! I still have my '87 560 SL bought from the dealership in Nashville, Tennessee. That Elvis was the most generous super star with excellent taste...he just loved the joy of giving and I would NEVER sell ANY car Elvis would have given me...ever.

Elvis was smoking Villiger Kiel (Holland) in the photos of the report. I went to Shilling Motors in Memphis in 1995, the boss had kept a check from Elvis for the purchase of a car before his death. Thank Detective. 🙏

Amazing ❤️ what a great video. I also like it when things stay the same. I miss the telephone booths and those old records stores and Miami Vice on the TV LOL. I read that Elizabeth told that Vernon liked cheap groceries so they drove to the city, but the car was gone. Take care Spa Guy 🥰

Mercedes is expensive to maintain for the regular guy. My Toyota Avalon is much cheaper. When your Elvis Presley you're not thinking about the cost to operate a vehicle. And Lord knows he could afford it! Great video Spa Guy...

Your Toyota Avalon is cheaper and will never perform the same as a Mercedes. Granted, a Toyota is probably more reliable, but it will never handle or perform as well as a Benz.

Great history of Elvis's foreign luxury autos. The first foreign car I heard Elvis owned was a foreign German Messerschmitt pre-army in 1956. Mr. Bernard Lansky obtained the unique vehicle by letting Elvis a long spree at his habadasharey - clothing business.

You could not beat the cars back in the 50 60 and 70 there was so much more room plus they were heavier and more solid, very comfortable also !my first husband and l had a 69 mustang, a couple years later he traded it in for a 73 Gran Pri l forgotten how to spell it , but it was a beautiful car hunter green Vinyl top , everyone loved the car, my mother went wild over it 😀 and she loved that color but a few years later without my knowledge he traded in on the ugliest yellow Toyota l ever did see each time my husband traded the car l was never with him, of course he said that the Toyota would get good gas mileage, l said “why didn’t you at least get another color ? he said because that was the last one ! I said yeah ‘they saw you coming 😂 now you know why l divorced my first husband “ king of Surprises ha hahaha 🤣 😢thanks Mr Morris for sharing your story with us, you were a very blessed man to have gotten a beautiful car like that from Elvis ‘ it was nice and some what funny 😅thank you Billy you can really come up with some good stories from very nice people what a breath of fresh air from someone like Mr Morris ! 👍👍👍🕺🙏🙏🙏

So cool! I cannot express how much I value all the interviews you do and have done with REAL LIVE people associated with Elvis. Seeing these people, hearing them really evokes a lot of emotion to the “realness” of Elvis. I find it hard to put into words…even all of the landmarks in Memphis and all over the country….it’s just so special.

They still are beautiful cars my brother drives a Mercedes with 250 hp it's like flying over the road.. It's a German brand a high class cars like Audi and BMW. I bet it always was, and Elvis had a great taste.

Thanks Billy!!! He seemed pretty coy about answering that question. Like maybe he has been asked that quite a few times already. If he only knew how valuable that car is, not just monetary, but as a piece of history to the entire Elvis community. Hopefully we will get to see it in all it's glory one day. It's there.. When you open the video up at the right bottom of the window is a cog that is settings you click on it.. Choose the language and whether closed captions is on or off..

That plane was being used to scam Elvis.. He never saw or flew on the plane.. The FBI was on the case. The grand jury heard the case the first time on August 15 1977.. People did go to jail around this scheme!!
